Volume 47
My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
What is Jesus talking about in today’s Good News?
He talks about the kingdom of heaven, spiritual
things, but the truth He tells us today even the world
has to accept, namely, do your best with what you
have and greater changes will be given you.
The truth is most important in the spiritual world,
especially today when the family of God is begging
everyone to get into the act, that is, to do whatever
you can to help the family of God. For examples:
Parishioners need to volunteer at St. Louis the King
Parish. More and more Catholics are donating
talents, time and energy to the religious education of
our children. Others are helping to visit the sick,
joining study and prayer groups, lectors, EM, fall
festival, etc… which includes all of you. These are
just a few of ways Catholics are using the abilities
and the talents God has given us.
To every one of you who is making a special effort to
do something, however humble, to help others know,
love and serve God, Jesus says today: “well done,
good and faithful servant. I will set over much; enter
into the joy of your Master.” God Bless all who are
working for God’s family.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Joseph Bui
Pastor

Stewardship
Next week marks the start of our “With Grateful Hearts” campaign. As disciples of Jesus, we are all asked to pray, serve and
share. Through prayer, we open ourselves up to a relationship with God. Through service, we show Jesus’ love and compassion to
others. By sharing, we have the opportunity to bless others as we have been blessed. We ask that you spend the next few weeks
prayerfully considering the commitment you are willing to make, both to the parish and in your personal life. What steps will you take
to enhance your payer life? In what ways will you be of service to others and the parish? To what level will you financially support St.
Louis the King to help ensure it remains a strong and vibrant parish. You will hear more about this campaign in the upcoming weeks
and commitment cards will be made available the weekend of December 6 and 7.
Gracious and Loving God, we give you thanks for this time of year; a time of transformation that reveals the awe-inspiring gift of your
creation. Teach us how to be good stewards of all the gifts you have given us; and show us how we may share those gifts
generously, especially with those most in need of your loving care. Give us the strength to be good stewards of the Gospel, to love
others as we love ourselves, and to follow in your Son’s footsteps, until we find our way home to you. We ask this through our Lord
Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. AMEN.

Hello from the Seminary
We just had a very blessed weekend of Masses for All Souls and
All Saints Day. In fact, on All Saints we install all the new lectors
and acolytes (altar servers) for Masses at the seminary. It's a small
bench mark for every seminarian to be officially recognized as a
lector or acolyte, but very exci ng all the same.
