Votive Candles We love that you’re lighting candles in front of the icons and statues,
and by the relic of the True Cross. But the
candles are not free! Please help us by paying
your share: $1.00 for a small candle, $3.00 for a medium
candle, $6.00 for a large candle. Thank you!
Gracias!
DID YOU KNOW?
The Elijah Cup is a focal point to help you pray
for vocations. If interested in getting the cup at
one of the weekend Masses, then taking it home
for a week to concentrate on praying for vocations,
please call the Parish Office.
Counseling from a Catholic Perspective If you need
counseling, please consider a therapist who counsels from a
Catholic perspective. Go to www.catholictherapist.com and
use the Find a Therapist link to find a local Catholic
therapist.
Natural Family Planning methods represent authentic
family planning and foster profound respect for one’s
spouse. Classes for the Sympto-Thermal Method are offered
by George and Katie Roberson through the Couple to
Couple League. For more information, contact the
Roberson’s, 706-374-3019, [email protected], or go to
live-the-love.org.
Just a Reminder Please observe silence
within the church proper before and after
Mass. Before Mass is a time for preparation
to participate worthily in the sacred action
about to occur. After Mass is a time for
thanksgiving for the great gift God has
deigned to bestow on us. The Narthex is
the proper place for meeting, greeting, and conversation.

Didache Wednesdays are Back!
This Wednesday, January 13th
in Fr. Denis Hall
after the 6:00 p.m. Mass
Subject: Islam
presented by Deacon Lloyd Sutter
The U.S. Bishops have asked us to offer a Mass of
Reparation & Healing for our Sins and to observe a
National Day of Mourning & Penance on the sad
anniversary of our nation’s legalization
of abortion on demand.
Our Mass will be Friday, January 22nd, at 6 p.m.
(we will have no 9:30 morning Mass that Friday).
We also invite any parent who wishes to honor
the life of any child lost, including
those miscarried or stillborn.
Last Wednesday, we heard a talk by Fr. Byrd on the
origins of Islam and the differences between
Islam and Catholicism.
Join us this Wednesday, January 13th after the
6 p.m. Mass for a continuation of our talks on
Islam when Deacon Sutter will discuss Islam’s
nascent antagonism toward the non-Muslin world
and in particular, its antagonism
towards Catholicism.
Bring a potluck dish or dessert to share and, after the
6 p.m. Mass, settle in for good food and a fascinating
talk!
