Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick
family
members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid
mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your
healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure
illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.
May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and
so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through
the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon them…
An Act of
Spiritual
Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were
already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The reach of Catholic Charities extends throughout the eight
counties of Western New York. Thousands in our area
struggle daily to provide food for their family, complete their
education, or start a new life away from abuse. Have you
made a contribution reflecting your care and concern?
Support our efforts to improve the lives of those in need.
Please watch for your letter and card from Catholic Charities
and respond promptly. Give hope this new year to those in
need. Find Good Within. Share God’s Goodness. Please give
to the 2015 Catholic Charities Appeal. Find out more at
www.ccwny.org or call 716-218-1400.
A note of thanks

Next week we will take up the Collection for the Church in
Central and Eastern Europe. This collection suppor ts
Catholic organizations that provide affordable shelter and
train seminarians in a region that still struggles from the
effects of Soviet rule. By providing pastoral care,
catechesis, and funding for building renovations, your
donations help to restore the Church and build the future in
the region. Please give generously to the collection next
week. Visit www.usccb.org (search “Church in Central and
Eastern Europe”) to learn more.
Lighting votive candles: The new votive candles may
be lit to demonstrate the intention of a person's prayer. The
continually burning flame symbolizes the ongoing nature of
the prayer even after the person who lit the candle has left
the church. Candles may be lit for loved ones who have
died, in gratitude, supplication or any other intention. A
donation of $3.00 is requested to offset the cost of the
candles.
