Please Pray for… Please remember God’s children who are ill, homebound, or
hospitalized and need our special thoughts and prayers: Theresa Alex, Theresa
Buonomo, Frances Dovel, JoAnn Frederick, June Nicholson, George Stokely, all
members of our military, and those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect and
serve others.
If you would like to add someone to the list, please email, send a note or call the church office. In
the future the list will be regenerated every three months. Thank you.
BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DIRECTORY
Mardi Gras Pot Luck Dinner— Heads up! On Saturday, February 14th,the Religious
Education program invites everyone to our Mardi Gras Potluck Dinner which will be
held after the 5:00 Mass. A sign-up sheet is available in the vestibule.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — Volunteers are desperately needed for the Worship Committee. There is a
shortage of Eucharistic ministers, as well as people needed for caring for altar and Communion linens. If
enough people would volunteer, they would only have to do something once a month. Surely, our parishioners could spare 1 hour a month for the linens or helping with Communion as 0one is at Mass already. Our
present wonderful volunteers having been doing it for many years and some are ready to turn the duties over
to others. Let us show Father Michael that volunteerism is alive at Holy Infant. Contact Pat Dobes, 298-0870
Please present ad when paying, drinks excluded. Not valid with any other offers.
Confirmation— First Communion is scheduled for May 18 and Confirmation is scheduled for May 31 at 2 p.m.
The Most Rev. Francis X. DiLorenzo will be officiating at confirmation this year. Mark your calendars!
Poinsettia Give Away-We are giving away our beautiful poinsettias after Sunday Mass. If you would like
one please take one home with you.
Welcome Back Fr. Michael! We hope you had a wonderful vacation, glad to have you back.
Second Collection-Next weekend there will be a second collection for our twin parish in Haiti, St. Augustine’s Catholic Parish. St. Augustine is a very poor parish that is in need of our help. St. Augustine’s is
located on the island of LaGonave in a very poor village named Gros Mangle. St. Augustine operates under
dire conditions. They operate a small school and the Priest depends upon the parishioners for support since
he doesn’t receive a salary, but he must pay his teachers. Please be generous!
Location: 5924 Seminole Trail #104, Barboursville, VA 22923
Address: PO Box 488, Ruckersville, VA 22968
EAUS— Elkton Area United Services is in need of these basic foods: soup, mac and cheese, cereal, peanut butter,
caned fruit, and non-perishable items such as boxed tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Every pound of food makes a difference in the life of someone who is hungry. Please donate to this worthy cause. There are food bins for this purpose in the vestibule.
