Faithful Departed. It is a Catholic
Tradition to offer Masses for those
who have died, and to remember
them in the Sacrifice of the Mass. The All Souls
envelopes are available at the back of the church.
Please write the names of your departed loved
ones and friends on the envelopes and include your
love offering. The names will be written in our
memorial book and placed in the sanctuary
throughout November.

Special Collection November 5/6 — Hurricane Matthew Relief Efforts
Hurricane Matthew devastated significant parts of the Southeast coast of the United States and some countries
in the Caribbean, especially Haiti. This special collection will support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services and
Catholic Charities USA as they reach out to provide immediate aid (water, food, shelter, and medical care), as
well as long-term efforts to restore communities after widespread destruction, and to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for the pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church in the Caribbean and the US.

Excited to Announce Youth Catholic Formation Classes Beginning in November!!!





Catechism for youth ages Pre-K - Grade 8 will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 4 – 5 pm in the parish hall. This
group will be using Pflaum Gospel Weeklies as the basis of formation.
First Holy Communion Preparation will begin on Monday, Nov. 7 from 4-5pm in Father Jhay’s living room. Students must be age 7 in May 2017. The main text for formation will be Jesus Brings Us Life by Pauline Media.
Confirmation Preparation will begin on Monday, Nov. 7 from 5:15-6:30 in Father Jhay’s living room.
Confirmandees must be age 12 in May 2018. The curriculum will be Chosen: Your Journey Toward Confirmation
published by Ascension Press.
High School Group will be gathering at the same time as the Confirmation Class in an alternate room. High
School students will be studying YOU: Life, Love, and The Theology of the Body published by Ascension Press.
Parents should plan to attend the first meeting to fill out forms and receive an overview of the curriculum. If you

Emocionados de anunciar Clases de Formación de Jóvenes Católicos A partir de noviembre !!!





Catecismo para jóvenes de Pre-K - Grado 8 comenzará el miércoles 2 de noviembre desde 4 - 17:00 en el salón
parroquial. Este grupo será el uso de Semanarios Pflaum del Evangelio como base de la formación.
Primera Comunión Preparación comenzará el lunes 7 de noviembre desde 4-5 pm en la sala de Jhay Padre. El
texto principal para la formación será Jesús nos trae la vida de Pauline medios de comunicación.
La confirmación de preparación comenzará el lunes 7 de noviembre desde 5: 15-6: 30 en el salón de Jhay Padre. El plan de estudios será elegido: su viaje hacia la Confirmación publicado por la prensa de la Ascensión.
Grupo de la Escuela Secundaria se reunirán al mismo tiempo que el curso de confirmación en una sala

Pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal
September 15-24, 2017
 “The Day the Sun Danced”
Bishop Myron Cotta is going on a pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal. This will mark the 100th
Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima, Portugal. Please join Bishop Cotta for
this unique experience for prayer, and excursions to historical and cultural sites. The pilgrimage will last 10 days. A flyer will be posted on the church bulletin board. If you are interested
in more information, please speak to Karen Knighton. A Tour Reservation Agreement page
with further information must be filled out and accompany your deposit and reservation.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) meets on Thursdays at
6:30pm in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Interested in the Catholic faith?
