From Fr. Beatty:
2014 Contribution Statements are ready to be picked up in the office. If you would like your
statement mailed, please call the parish office. Thanks!
Thanks for your generosity in welcoming Fr. Tom Krosnicki and in supporting the Divine Word
Missionaries. The collection last weekend was $2,298 and those funds will directly support the
evangelistic efforts of missions around the world. While it's true that we are all called to be
missionaries in our own way, there's a special thrill in encountering globe-crossing hardcore
missionaries like Fr. Tom. After Mass he spent some time with our high school and confirmation
classes, and there were a lot of laughs, and a lot of inspiration. It's good to be reminded often of our
connection to the Body of Christ around the world. The support our parish has offered is like blood
circulating nutrients through that body...if that isn't stretching the metaphor too much!
I need one or more volunteers to attend the Rite of Election in Belleville, on Sunday Feb. 22nd at
2:00pm at the Cathedral. This is the event in which catechumens and candidates who will join the
Church this Easter are welcomed and blessed by the Bishop, and formally enrolled as catechumens
and candidates. It's nothing demanding, but it is most of a day if you include travel. Is anyone
willing to represent our parish and accompany our soon-to-be-new members? Please let me know!
