CAFOD needs volunteers to speak in parishes and/or schools about its work in the developing world. This post will initially be part-time [20 hours per week to be worked flexibly] and although it is based in Birmingham travel will be required as the area covered includes; Staffordshire, the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire. The successful applicant will help implement new online processes for recruitment checks and for basic safeguarding training. He or she will also support existing staff in responding to a wide range of safeguarding issues and ensuring that the right systems and level of understanding are in place in parishes and other organisations across the Archdiocese.
