CONFIRMATION: Bishop Declan will be coming to St Mary’s to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on 20 May
2015. Anyone who is in year 9 or above and would like to be Confirmed can pick up an application form from Fr
Michael after Mass.
HOLY HOUR: The Prayer Group will meet this Sunday at 3pm here at St Mary’s. There will be Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament, Praise and Worship songs, intercessory prayers and prayers for healing. “For with God nothing
will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). All are invited.
SYNOD OF BISHOPS: The Bishops' Conference of England and Wales are keen that the reflection documents for
parish communities are made widely available in the hope of gaining a fruitful response. The full and original version
of what the Bishops' Conference has sent out is available on the Adult Education section of the diocesan website.
This booklet will be available at all weekend masses. Responses (emailed, written or surveymonkey response) are
invited by Pentecost 2015 and these should be sent to our diocesan Marriage and Family Life Coordinator, AnneMarie Sparrow. You can email her [email protected] or send your written responses to her via

towards Parish Development Fund.
OFFERTORY LAST WEEKEND: £776 (of which £105 was Gift aided) and £511 was given by standing order. The
second collection towards Catholic Education Service came to £207. Many thanks for your generosity.
RETIRING COLLECTION: This Sunday will be towards Parish Development Fund. This fund is to repair the roof and
the ceiling in the sacristy which has been damaged recently due to rains.
Looking for Christ. Jesus Christ gives meaning to our lives. Without him life can seem no better than hired drudgery, but
with this Spirit in us, all our service of others is done for love. This is a service that brings perfect freedom. The world needs
Christ, and it is our calling to bring him to everyone.
