ADOPTION MATTERS
The latest achievement report is in the foyer. Please take a copy to learn about the
recent changes.
Come and pray 7-7.30pm Mondays
Join us in the crèche room for a time of fellowship as we come
before God together with praise, thanksgiving and requests for
our church, parish, missionaries and the wider world.
This will be a moderate half-day walk of about 5 miles around the
Fernilee area, just past Whaley Bridge. We park in a layby on the
A5004 across from Taxal Church and climb up onto Taxal Edge.
We walk along the edge for about 1½ miles, then descend to
Overton Hill Farm and meander down to cross the dam at
Fernilee Reservoir. We turn back to follow the River Goyt back to
the cars.
This is a lovely walk with great views off Taxal Edge and varied
scenery. It can be pretty muddy in places so be appropriately
shod.
Meet at St Andrew’s car park for a 9.00am start and we should
finish the walk by 1.00pm-1.30pm. Bring snack refreshments for
elevenses and warm, waterproof clothing. After the walk either
return home for a late lunch or If you want
to stop for lunch you could visit the Shady
Oak at Fernilee or wherever, although I
am not planning to make any special
arrangements.
