“AND BAPTIZE THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT…”
At FPC we desire people to be baptized into and connected with the Body of Christ.
This year, Ash Wednesday falls early, on February 18, to begin our annual
observance of the season of Lent. On that Wednesday, we begin Lent
with an ancient tradition, our Agape Supper. This time of preparation
begins at 6:00pm with a sacrificial meal of soup, bread, cheese, and fruit.
We then continue in an attitude of worship in preparation for partaking of
communion. There will be childcare provided after the meal. Tickets are
$3.50 for adults and $1.00 for children and can be bought this Sunday or
next Sunday in the gathering area after both services.
“TEACH THEM ALL THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU”
At FPC we have a passion to see people Grow in Christ through discipleship.
This year we have chosen the study “Life on Mission” by Tim Harlow
for our Lenten study. If you are not currently part of a small group, this is
a great entry point as new groups are forming and old groups are rearrang-
ing. The study begins on Feb. 15. If you might be interested, please
contact Sharon Early either via e-mail ([email protected]) or
phone (church number of 748-1544 or home number of 748-8196).
“PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER”
At FPC we believe in the power of prayer for both blessings and storms. Please say a special prayer for these people:

Our mission workers and military members.
Each week we are sharing a prayer that was written by someone in the congregation, echoed
by others, and offered to God on January 25. The prayers were written trusting that God
“is at work within us” and “able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask
or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20) as we go through the discernment process together.
-I pray for clear direction; that God’s will be done during this time of
unrest in the church; that God’s people would hear His voice and be
willing to accept whatever it is that He says.
