DE PARTE DE TODO EL PERSONAL DE LA : IGLESIA CATOLICA ROMANA SAN ANDRES. Horas de Oficina Lunes — Jueves 1 p. m. a 4 p. m. Today, we light the second candle on our Advent wreath and continue to “Prepare the way of the Lord” (Lk 3:4). During these weeks of Advent, we are called to embark on a spiritual journey that will ready our hearts and minds to receive Jesus. In our gospel reading, John the Baptist is the voice from the edge foretold by the prophet Isaiah. His plea for repentance offers further instruction for our Advent journey. We are called to turn away from the thoughts, words, and deeds that keep us from Christ. SECOND WEEK The prayer that follows is to be repeated each day of the second week. After the prayer, the oldest child lights the first and second purple candles. Leader: O Lord, stir up our hearts that we may prepare for Thy only begotten Son, that through His coming we may be made worthy to serve Thee with pure minds. Through Christ our Lord. All: Amen. The two candles are allowed to burn during the evening meals of the second week. Office hours Monday—Thursday 1 p.m. to 4 p. m. [email protected]—Stephanie Ruiz, Coordinator of Youth Ministry.
