Our experience teaches us that seeds do not always
produce harvest. Weather patterns, soil conditions, and
human labor are determinate factors.
The growth of the Kingdom of God, however, is assured
because it rests on the power and promise of God.
The growth of the Kingdom of God is assured because of
Jesus’ word and the law of the Spirit.
We do not always understand this, however. We come to
understand only when we truly hear Jesus’ word and
make it our way of living – that is by growing and bearing
fruit.
The Kingdom of God starts small – with each of us – but
when we allow ourselves to grow in God’s life, the
kingdom becomes all-encompassing. As the community of
the Church, we are able to respond to the needs of the
entire world. As a parish community, we are able to reach
out with help and good to those in our neighborhoods. As
individuals, we are able to embrace enemies as well as
friends, strangers as well as family, those in need as well
as those with plenty. In these ways we become living
parables doing what God created us to do - building His
Kingdom in our lives.
For Reflection
Do I nurture my seed of the Kingdom with prayers,
sacrifices, and alms-giving? Do I really hear and
understand God’s word, always acting on it? Is my
partaking of the Body and Blood of the risen Jesus shown
in fruits of dedication and service?

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
This coming Saturday, June 20, at an 11:00 AM Bilingual
Mass, 46 children of our parish will be receiving for the
first time the Body and Blood of Christ. Pray for them and
their families.
2015 ANNUAL APPEAL
Our Archbishop John J. Meyer called to congratulate us
because we went over our parish pledge goal for the
Archdiocesan Annual Campaign. Thank you to all who
made this possible, and now we hope that all will fulfill
their pledges. If you have not made your pledge yet, you
still can do so. Remember that a rebate will be given to
the parish from the money received above the goal.


VENGA Y DISFRUTE
Nuestra experiencia nos enseña que las semillas no
siempre producen la cosecha. Los patrones climáticos,
las condiciones del suelo y el trabajo humano son
factores determinantes.
El crecimiento del Reino de Dios, sin embargo, está
asegurado, ya que se apoya en el poder y la promesa de
Dios.
El crecimiento del Reino de Dios está asegurado debido a
la palabra de Jesús y la ley del Espíritu.
Sin embargo, no siempre entendemos esto. Llegamos a
entender sólo cuando realmente escuchamos la palabra
de Jesús y la hacemos nuestra manera de vivir - que es
creciendo y dando fruto.
El Reino de Dios comienza pequeño - en cada uno de
nosotros - pero cuando nos permitimos crecer en la vida
de Dios, el reino se convierte en algo que todo lo abarca.
Como la gran comunidad de la Iglesia, estamos en
condiciones de responder a las necesidades del mundo
entero. Como comunidad parroquial, somos capaces de
llegar con ayuda y bienestar a aquellos en nuestros
vecindarios. Como individuos, somos capaces de abrazar
a los enemigos, así como los amigos, a extraños, así
como a la familia, a los necesitados, así como los que
tienen bastante. De esta manera llegamos a ser
parábolas vivas haciendo lo que Dios nos creó para
hacer. La construcción de su Reino en nuestras vidas.
Reflexión
¿Nutro mi semilla del Reino con oraciones, sacrificios y
limosnas? ¿Realmente escucho y entiendo la palabra de
Dios siempre poniéndola en práctica? ¿Mi participación
en el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Jesús resucitado se muestra
en frutos de dedicación y servicio?

felicitarnos porque sobrepasamos en promesas la meta
de nuestra contribucion parroquial para la Campaña
Anual Arquidiocesana. Gracias a todos los que hicieron
esto posible y esperamos que ahora todos cumplan con la
promesa enviando su dinero. Si usted no ha hecho su
promesa todavia lo puede hacer. Recuerde que se
devuelve dinero a la parroquia del dinero que sobrepasa
la meta.
