They will be offering these screenings to you for $150 for all 8 combined. If you pre-register for the $150 pkg. you will also receive an Atrial Fibrillation screening FREE OF CHARGE. Insurance is NOT necessary to receive this discount. However, Pre-Registration IS necessary and appointments are limited. Please call 1- 866-935-7226 to schedule an appointment today. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place next week. One way that this appeal works to strengthen home mission dioceses in the United States is by funding seminarian formation in poor dioceses. The blessing of seminarians places a financial burden on these dioceses, where educating each seminarian costs $35-40K per year. Your support is needed for these young men so that they might go back and serve their parishes. Please strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gift to next week’s appeal. PSR Schedule for April Apr 20 & 22 - Class Apr 27 & 29 - Class April 22- Edge Night: For the Love of God The goal of this night is to invite youth into a deeper relationship with God and community, recognizing the many gifts in their lives and the universal call to share those gifts with our brothers and sisters in need, in particular through the Corporal Work of Mercy, clothing the naked. The hope of the night is that the youth will see the need of those around them for the essential necessity of clothing and be more willing to give throughout the year. April 29- Edge Night: Operation Body & Soul The goal of this Edge Night is for the middle school youth to understand the sacredness of the human body, which incorporates the Corporal Work of Mercy to bury the dead. Although decisions about burial and funerals are left to adults, there are practical ways middle school youth can practice this work of mercy. Rake & Run is Back - Saturday 25- Do you need help raking, pulling weeds or putting out mulch? What about Closet Cleaning, Cabinet Cleaning? If you are interested in having a team of teens and adults come and help you do yard or housework please contact Al Smith at 404-281-2244. All funds raised are used to help students attend summer retreats including the Franciscan Steubenville Youth Conference, SONfest Beach Retreat and Prayer & Action, a new Catholic based Georgia Missions initiative to serve those most in need. April 19- Life Night: Be Made Well The goal of this Life Night is for youth to understand that God recognizes both our spiritual and physical suffering and desires to heal us. Christ established two sacraments for our healing: Penance and Anointing of the Sick. While God does not always provide miraculous physical healings, when He does, it points us to the greater healing—victory over sin and death. We always have the opportunity to experience the forgiveness of sin through Penance. April 26- Life Night: Totally Given This Life Night examines the Sacraments at the Service of Communion – Holy Matrimony and Holy Orders, and it provides teenagers with an understanding of how these two sacraments build up the Church. Teenagers are challenged to pray for those that have received the Sacraments of Matrimony and Holy Orders. Young Adults meet at 7pm at Starbucks, Conyers.
