We have here Christ's
cleansing of a leper. It teaches us to apply to the Savior
with great humility, and
with full submission to his
will, saying, "Lord, if thou
wilt," without any doubt of
Christ's readiness to help
the distressed.
See also what to expect from
Christ; that according to our
faith it shall be to us. The
poor leper said, If thou wilt.
Christ readily wills favors to
those whom readily refer
themselves to his will. Christ
would have nothing done
that looked like seeking
praise of the people.
But no reasons now exist
why we should hesitate to
spread the praises of Christ.

un leproso por Cristo. Nos
enseña a aplicar al Salvador
con gran humildad, y con plena sumisión a su voluntad,
diciendo: "Señor, si quieres,"
sin lugar a dudas podemos
ver la disposición de Cristo
para ayudar a los afligidos.
Vemos también qué esperar
de Cristo, de acuerdo a nuestra fe. El pobre leproso dijo, si
quieres. Cristo quiere facilitar
favores a los que fácilmente
se refieren a él con gran humildad. Jesús no buscaba
ningún elogio de la gente al
hacer sus milagros.
Así nosotros no debemos de
buscar elogios de los demás al
ayudar a nuestro prójimo como lo hizo Cristo.
