THE COVENANT NETWORK OF PRESBYTERIANS, NORTHEAST REGIONAL CONFERENCE
“LIVING INTO MARRIAGE EQUALITY”
Saturday, February 7, 2015, 9 am – 3:30 pm, Widener Hall/Sanctuary
The “tag line” for the Covenant Network is “toward a church as generous and just as God’s grace.”
For years this group has been working for the full inclusion of GLBT Presbyterians in the life of the
church. While PCCH has never officially “joined” this organization, we certainly have been
committed to a church as generous and just as God’s grace! In a few weeks, we will host the
Northeast Regional Conference. This is a conference for everyone, so plan to attend and invite
anyone you think might be interested.
The keynote speaker is Mark Hostetter, associate pastor for Stewardship and Mission to the
Corporate World at the First Presbyterian Church in the City of New York and director of the
new Master of Arts in Religious Leadership and Administration program at New York Theological
Seminary. The preacher is Tricia Dykers Koenig, national organizer for the Covenant Network
of Presbyterians and a former student of Cindy’s at McCormick Theological Seminary. Tricia has
worked tirelessly since the fall of 2000 with Covenant Network to remove obstacles to the
ordination for LGBTQ Presbyterians and, more recently, opening marriage to all.

THE CHURCH SENT OUT
OUR BROTHER’S PLACE THANK YOU
Many thanks to Laura Pritchard, Greg Dickinson and Dick Brown who joined team co-ordinator
Susan Brown to serve over 100 residents of Our Brother’s Place, a residential homeless shelter in
Callowhill. The men were grateful for the Sloppy Joe dinner and for the seconds we were able to
serve. A special thank you to Stu Hain for providing the canned vegetables, fruit, lemonade and
paper products as well as the PCCH members who provided Sloppy Joes. The recipe couldn't be
simpler: brown 2lbs of ground beef or turkey, drain the fat, add one large can of Manwich sauce,
freeze in a zip lock bag and place it in the blue bin in the Church freezer. To be on a service team
sign up on the clip board below Social Witness bulletin board outside the reception room. We
serve on the fourth Sunday of the month; our next serving date is Sunday, February 22, 2015.
