WIDEBAND POWER AMPLIFIER FOR FALCON III® RF-7850M HANDHELD RADIO RF-7850M-V50x The RF-7850M-V50x is a high-performance VHF power amplifier for use with the Falcon III® RF-7800V-HH handheld VHF radio in vehicular or base station radio systems, supplying additional RF power for increased range and link reliability. The RF-7850M-V50X provides continuous coverage in the 30 to 512 MHz frequency band with up to 50 watts output power from 30 MHz to 108 MHz and up to 20 watts output power from 108 MHz to 512 MHz. The amplifier extends all modes of transmission to include: >> ANW2 at 1.2 MHz Channel Bandwidth >> TDMA Networking Waveform (TNW) >Wideband > Networking >> Quicklook Waveform Suite >Narrowband > performance >> 25 kHz and 75 kHz MACA >Direct > connection to peripheral devices >> Dual Net Push-to-Talk (Dual PTT) >Collocation > performance >Software > Defined Integrated handheld battery charging allows simultaneous radio operation. The “hot jerk-and-run” feature affords operators the ability to remove the radio from the amplifier and seamlessly continue use of the handheld without having to turn it off. Heat sinking provides an extended-use duty cycle. Ready for integration into vehicular communication systems, a VIC-3 interface is provided for incorporation with legacy intercoms, and the RF-7800V-V50x is fully interoperable with Harris’ Falcon III Digital Vehicular Intercom System—the RF-7800I. BENEFITS >> Achieve information superiority on the battlefield with greater speed and detail by leveraging the Harris Advanced Networking Wideband Waveform (ANW2). >> Applying increased RF power for extended range and link reliability in Harris advanced narrowband waveforms. >> The system supplies many industry standard interfaces and the amplifier has multiple ports to run interfaces simultaneously. >> Built-in collocation features to provide full power during demanding VSWR in both fixed frequency and frequency hopping. >> Future proof architecture enables planned product improvements to be implemented as software only upgrades in most cases. harris.com SPECIFICATIONS FOR: RF-7850M-V50x GENERAL STANDARD KIT INCLUDES Frequency Range Narrowband: 30-512 MHz Wideband: 225-512 MHz Input Power 20 - 32 VDC MIL-STD-1275 compliant RF Output Impedence 50 Ohms, unbalanced Collocation 15% frequency and 1.5M antenna separation Future Proof Software Defined Amplifier Shock Mount DC Power Cable Installation Maintenance Manual For optional accessories, please refer to the Product Catalog SPECIFICATIONS GENERAL Dimensions 10.7 H x 19.3 W x 14.0 D in. 27.2 H x 7.6 W x 35.6 D cm (VAA only without shock tray) Weight 26 lbs.
