Help Expand The National Museum of Animals & Society Art & Soul of Santa Barbara THE NEW NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANIMALS AND SOCIETY (NMAS), a museum for animal lovers of all ages, needs public support to move to a new location in LA’s Museum Row district this Fall. The musuem is the brainchild of Santa Barbara resident Carolyn Merino Mullin, former associate director of Casa Dolores. Local artist Rafael Perea de la Cabada is the museum’s Art Director. Founded in 2010, this first of its kind museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of animals and people by exploring their shared experience. The musuem has secured a $50,000 matching donation from The Ellen Lavinthal Family Trust and is seeking donations to meet this match, dollar for dollar. The museum is just $20,000 shy of its $100,000 goal towards its expansion project. Donations Are Tax Deductible. Artiste Gallery (Los Olivos) To support the museum’s fundraising efforts visit their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign (www.indiegogo.com/projects/ a-museum-for-animals-people) to make a donation. A New Beginning-Thru Feb 22 • 410 Palm Av, Loft A1, Carp • Fr-Su 11-6pm • 684-9700.
