December 19, 2014 CASA Magazine – a voice of the PROGRESSIVE MAINSTREAM • www.CasaSB.com 23 Dream Foundation Celebrating 20 Years of Fulfilling Dreams A By Lucy Barnes / CASA DREAMY EVENING UNDER THE STARS attracted 500 guests for the Celebration of Dreams Gala at the Bacara Resort & Spa recently in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Dream Foundation (DF) and its fulfillment of 20,000 dreams. “What was special for me, was the joy and honor of representing this national organization as it celebrated the past 20 years and looks forward to the next 20,” shared Dream Foundation Executive Director Kisa Heyer. “For years, I attended the gala as a guest but this Santa Barbara DF Board Chair Kenny Slaught with his year, I was wife Elizabeth Slaught proud to stand up as the Executive Director and share our dreams and dreamers with the community.” A cocktail hour, silent auction, and celebrity red carpet session led the way into the evening. Guests enjoyed a fine dining followed by a performance by Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers and his daughter, Grammy-nominated McKenna Medley.
