Dear Friends in Christ,
This past Thursday was a beautiful day in celebration of life. Yes, it was a protest against
the evil of abortion and other methods of taking innocent life, but there was an atmosphere
of blessing amongst the hundreds of thousands of marchers. Father Chris left very early in the morning to
attend the Youth Mass for the March for Life with young people from across our nation. I traveled to
Washington, D.C. on the bus provided by our Saint Margaret Knights of Columbus Council along with
parishioners from Incarnation and the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit. We were especially blessed
to have Bishop Sullivan offer Mass in our sister’s convent before our departure and were able to greet him
and Father Romano on the corner of Constitution and New Jersey Avenues. We then left on that bright,
sunny day to see what proved to be the best weather I have seen since attending the March for over thirty
years. It was amazing to see the young people at the March. To me, it shows that we are chipping away
at the culture of death, one young person at a time. The papers hardly covered the March and as
always, underreported the number in attendance. The tiny group of pro-death people made equal news
which shows the bias. God’s love cannot be suppressed. We know that He will only tolerate the killing
for so long. Science continues to show that the baby is living from the beginning, feeling pain in the
womb and responding to his parents’ voice. Surgery is being performed on babies while they are still in the
womb. Thank you to all who prayed for we who attended the March and for your solidarity in prayerful
protection of the unborn. May we once again see prolife leaders in our national and local governments! The
prolife President Ronald Reagan once said, “I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been
born.” Well noted.
God bless you,
Father Szolack
