Come & visit the
Imaginarium
Evergreen Summer is a creative adventure in the
world of art, science, cooking, and swimming.
From the Director
Dear Parents and Friends of Evergreen Summer,
Before embarking on this summer’s theme Imaginarium, I did a study on what it means to be creative. I
think Einstein said it best, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all
we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to
know and understand.”
This is what I love about and want to support in children; their abundant imagination and love for learning.
We believe it’s important to teach children what they need to know without closing off all of the possibilities
that their imagination has to offer. Einstein and countless other did; they went beyond what they knew and
made great discoveries and contributions to our world and helped make it what it is today.
The Evergreen Summer Imaginarium is a hands-on, creativity-on discovery center, a place where your child
can explore a variety of themes through art and play. While we don’t promise to make an Einstein out of
your child this summer, we do promise to give them one filled with creative possibilities.
We are committed to keeping that creative force alive in the children we serve, and we believe children do
best in a child-centered experiential environment. I hope that you will choose Evergreen Summer as a place
for your child this summer.

field trip and also visit the pool once a week and receive a lesson with a certified instructor.

that it's much harder to digest than the wheat of a generation ago.

options available to our young chefs who are gluten-free. It's always a
party with Tiny/Gourmet Chefs!

if competition is your middle name, then this is the
week for you! We’ll spend three days on cupcake
basics-measuring, mixing, baking, and frosting, and
then finish the week with two days of baking battle!
Small teams will face off with one another to compete

become uniquely and deliciously its own! For most Americans, nothing says summer like Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Potato Salad. And
while some of those items are definitely on our All American Summer
Menu, we are also going to explore American cuisine from sea to
shining sea, from Southern BBQ to California’s twist on the BLT to the
countrywide favorite Strawberry Shortcake! Come dive into summer
with Tiny Chefs-- It will feel like the 4th of July all week!

CPR and First Aid certified, and submit to an extensive background check with the Maryland State Police and the FBI. The Montessori Program is led by Evergreen School staff.
Mad Science and Gourmet Chefs camps are led by professional staff as well.
Q: What are the safety precautions that Evergreen Camp takes?
A: Every time a group leaves the campus they take a cell phone, first aid kit, and complete
information for each camper. While at camp, walkie talkies are utilized so that all groups can
keep in contact with each other and with the Director. Before releasing any camper, we
verify identification and parental information as to who is authorized to pick up the camper.
Q: I think my child is mature enough to be in the Junior and Senior group. Would that be
possible?
