Traditional Fitness March 18, 2015 Talking Stick Resort Scottsdale, Arizona ABOUT THE TRAINING Fitness is being physically strong and healthy. Traditional Fitness is inspired by the inherent strength of our ancestors and their natural athletically gifted bodies that inhabited these lands. Traditional fitness encompasses the overall wellness of a person and includes the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental well-being and how by living in balance each area helps to strengthen the other. Traditional Fitness is more than improving cosmetic appearance; the ultimate goal is to empower people physically by embracing the ingenuity, work ethic, creativity and determination of our ancestors. Traditional Fitness is functional fitness. A constant state of well-being preserves and evolves strong families. Strong families contribute to strong communities and strong communities contribute to strong Nations. The Traditional Fitness training will utilize traditional games, ice-breakers, body weight movements, partner body weight exercises and natural objects such as rocks and logs for fitness workouts. Note: All ages and levels of athleticism are welcome to join. Participants should come dressed and ready to move.
