Group Hospitality CORE VALUES EXPECTED BEHAVIOURS Kotahi Whai mana Manaaki Whanonga We We We We │ │ │ │ One Integrity Embracing Inspiring / / / / I I I I put students first will be the best we can be take responsibility foster well-being and encourage growth KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Food preparation Health and Safety Administration • Oversee all aspects of the operation of WITT’s Garage café kitchen • Produce quality food for the Garage café to be served by students in the Hospitality Front of House programmes • Work alongside teaching staff to guide students in aspects of Front of House operations • Set up a food control plan and ensure compliance at all times to meet the requirements of the Food Act (1981) and Food Hygiene Regulations (1974) • Ensure the work environment is maintained in a safe condition at all times to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act (1992) • Take all practicable steps to ensure individual personal safety and the safety of others • Manage kitchen resources efficiently and keep adequate records of stock supplies WITT RESPONSIBILITIES Te Tiriti o Waitangi Maintain an understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to incorporate those principles into the working environment. All new staff to undertake a Tiriti o Waitangi workshop in their first year. Code of practice WITT is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
