KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Health and Safety • Provide support to tutors in the teaching areas to enable them to carry out academic teaching and assessments • Demonstrate proactive and positive practices that support student retention and success • Demonstrate practices that are informed by the current body of knowledge about effective training and learning • Participate in the process of student evaluations, modifying teaching practices where required • Ensure compliance at all times to meet the requirements of the Food Act (1981) and Food Hygiene Regulations (1974) Administration • Complete all academic administrative tasks as requested by tutors Teaching and Assessment WITT RESPONSIBILITIES Te Tiriti o Waitangi Maintain an understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to incorporate those principles into the working environment. All new staff to undertake a Tiriti o Waitangi workshop in their first year. Code of practice WITT is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
