Kongunadu College of Engineering and
Technology (KNCET) is the fruit of dedicated
efforts of Dr. PSK. R. Periaswamy, Founder &
Chairman, Kongunadu Group of Institutions.

Institutional excellence. KNCET currently offers
six under graduate courses viz, CSE and IT with
the in-take of 60 students, ECE, EEE and Civil
with the in-take of 120 students, Mech with the
in-take of 240 students in branch and M.E
program in Applied Electronics, Embedded
Technologies, Computer Science Engineering
(with Specialization of Networks) and Computer
Science Engineering which
intensively
focusses on study and research with high-tech
laboratories. Our college is Affiliated to Anna
University – Chennai and approved by AICTE,
New Delhi,
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Department of Civil Engineering was
established in the year 2010. The department of
Civil Engineering has highly qualified,
committed and research oriented faculty
members. The department has professionally
equipped and spacious laboratories such as
Strength of Material Lab, Survey Lab,
Environmental Engineering Lab, Hydraulics
Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab, CAD lab,
Transportation and Concrete lab etc.,
The department conducts Special Guest
lectures, workshop and seminar in each semester
on various topics beneficial to the students to
meet the growing global challenges of
engineering industries. Our Civil Engineering
will
develop
internationally
prominent
educational and research programs that will
benefit all of our constituencies.
ABOUT SNCACT: 2015
The objective of the conference is to
bring out Civil Engineers,
material
scientist/engineer, practicing and consulting
engineers
and engineering geologists,
researchers, owner and construction managers,
government officials, public and private
contractors,
equipment and its products
suppliers, as well as all those involved with
engineering works related to construction
materials, on a common platform to discuss
about the advances, their recent experiences and
interesting developments in civil engineering
materials so as to provide a meaningful answer
to India’s challenge in the new millennium.
