Myanmar, which focuses on promoting the lives of the vulnerable community. Pact in Myanmar
is currently working in the Delta Zone, Dry Zone and Shan Zone on various projects including
Micro Credit, Primary Health Care, HIV/AIDS Education Programs and Livelihoods Integrated
Program. Pact in Myanmar operates its various projects in 51 townships.
Pact in Myanmar is currently seeking a motivated, experienced and dedicated candidate for the
position of Program Officer (Training and Capacity Development).

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Program Manager, Program Officer – Training is responsible for
implementing the capacity development activities for Health Capacity Development Unit.
The training officer is expected to prove his/her expertise in developing training
curriculum, providing training, conducting surveys/assessments, mentoring and coaching
for the capacity development of the local partners.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
In this capacity he/she will be responsible of:
Training
 Developing training curricula for organizational capacity development.
 Updating curricula from time to time based on the needs of the local partners in
consultation with Senior Program Officer and Program Manager.
 Developing tools for training assessments, and surveys/research
 Providing training to the local partners according to the agreed capacity building plan
Mentoring and Coaching
 Mentoring and coaching the local partners for the intervened capacity areas
 Identifying needs for the conducted trainings or workshops and working with the team to
utilize those needs for the local partners.
Budget Responsibilities
 Budgeting for annual training plan for local partners with Project Manager
 Ensuring that all the training activities are in line with the approved budget

Reporting
 Submitting reports for monthly activities, training, assessments, surveys, field trip in
English to Senior Program Officer and Program Manager timely
Work-plan
 Developing both team work plan and own annual work-plan to meet the program
objectives by discussing with the team
 Having responsibilities to accomplish as annual work-plan with high accuracy and
performance, and high team spirit
Coordination and Cooperation
 Participating constructively in team meeting
 Participating in workshops or training or coordination meeting by representing the team as
assigned
 Representing the project in stakeholders meeting as assigned
 Strengthening the network with interest groups, CBOs, Local NGO, INGO and any
relevant stakeholders which can be the strategic partners of Health Capacity Development
Unit.
Education and Experience Requirements:
 University degree in development, social science, behavioural science, organizational
behaviour, or any other relevant degree or relevant diploma;
 At least 1 year-experience in training, developing training design and tools;
 Strong communication and analytical skills;
 Competent in report writing and presentation skills;
 Knowledge about HIV/AIDS and TB;
 Competent in English and Myanmar language (both written and spoken);
 Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
 Ability and flexibility to travel on short notice;
 Good team player
