Game of the Month
Rainstorm Game
This is a good calm down game that gets
everybody ready to listen to a talk. It is good for
all ages and lasts about 10-15 minutes. Have
everyone sit in a large circle facing inward. Then
have one of the leaders explain that they should
do whatever he/she does when he/she passes
them. Then they should keep on doing this action
until the leader passes them again with a
different action. Emphasize this activity must be
done quietly. The leader starts off by going around
the circle snapping his/her fingers. Then she rubs
her hands together. Then he/she claps her hands.
Then he/she stomps her feet. After that, it goes
back to clapping hands, then to rubbing of hands, to
snapping, and finally to silence. That was a rainstorm,
which has helped everyone to be quiet.

Nominations Needed for Betterment Banquet 2015
Recognize your Club’s Contributions to Mills County! The Betterment and Beautification
Banquet and Awards program is sponsored by the Glenwood/Mills County Area Chamber of
Commerce, and will be held the evening of Thursday, March 5th at Bodega Victoriana. Each of
your clubs has completed a Community Betterment or Community Service Project that would
qualify for recognition. Along with recognizing all applicants, they will select one club to receive
an award. Individual nominations may also be made for the Junior Citizen of the year for youth
in grades 7-12. There are many adults involved with 4-H and Extension who would qualify for
Citizen or Volunteer of the year as well. Anyone may make these nominations. You can go to
www.glenwoodia.com to complete the forms. Letting the community know about our
accomplishments is valuable to your members, club and 4-H. Don't miss this opportunity to
promote 4-H in our community.

happening– in the county and the State. If you are interested in learning more,
