REFLECTION From the GOD SQUAD:
Living the 10 Commandments
If there is any part of the Old Testament, that most
people have heard of, it's probably the
10 Commandments
They are so basic and so familiar to use, primarily
because they make the most sense.
Disobeying authority, stealing, lying, killing, committing adultery;
these actions happened all around us today,
just as they did 4000 years ago.
The bottom line is that the 10 Commandments still
makes sense, they are still valid, because human
nature hasn't really changed, and God knows that.
So, look them over carefully, commit them to
memory and ask God to help you with the ones
that are the most challenging.
Thank you to all our veterans,

“Prepare The Way”
St. Rita
Advent
Mission
Nov 28-Nov 30
6:30-7:30
There are as many ways to pray as there are people who pray.
When the real person enters into prayer, prayer becomes the central part of one’s life. One’s intellect, senses, memory, will and imagination are all involved in a living relationship
with God. The Ignatian ways of prayer are designed to help the individual be aptly disposed
for an encounter with God, to bring order to one's life, to deepen one's knowledge of the Lord,
so one may make choices according to the spirit of the Gospel.
This MISSION is designed to explain the different ways Ignatius taught his disciples to pray:
Examen, points, meditation and contemplation. The mission is not intended to convey mere
information and/or concepts, but to help one listen to the Spirit within, to God speaking in
the Scripture, in one’s heart, in one’s life, to help one find God in all things.
Come Join Us!

Serving Those Who Serve
Collection for the Archdiocese for Military Services
Next week our parish will take up the Collection for the Archdiocese for Military Services (AMS). The
AMS relies solely on private donors in support of its mission, “Serving those who serve” and its ministry
to provide pastoral care and services to Catholics serving in the United States Armed Forces, enrolled in
US Military Academies, seeking treatment at VA Medical Centers, working civilian jobs beyond US
borders and their families. The AMS receives no government funding. Please support those who sacrifice
so much for us. More information at www.milarch.org/nationalcollection.

Your Building Fund at Work…you will notice that our Church is now “enlightened” with all
new LED lights. Some of the light sockets needed some electrical work anyway. These
new lights make the Church much brighter and also will be very cost effective in saving us
money in energy costs. The figures show that in just a short time that the bulbs will have
paid for themselves…Thank You for your Genero$ity to the Building Fund ;o) Thank You
also to Rueben and his two employees from Diamond Electric who facilitated this
work! ;o)

Special Prayer Request for all CTK Members,
their Families and their Friends
LOCAL MINISTRY IN WALTON COUNTY: Do you have extra plastic
bags at home??? Would you like for them to go to a good cause??? The
women of a small church in DeFuniak Springs cut the plastic bags into
strips and crochet them into 6’ or 7’mats. These mats are then used by
the local homeless people to put on the ground to keep their bedrolls,
blankets, sleeping bags dry before they lay down for the night.! Bags
just need to be clean…they can be any type, color, any store, any size,
etc. You can just bring the bags to Church and we will make sure that
the women receive them. These mats are especially necessary before
the real cold weather arrives!
