Eucharistic Adoration
On the 22nd of each month we
gather in prayer and praise before
the Blessed Sacrament praying for
an increase in vocations. If the
22nd of the month falls on Saturday
or Sunday, Adoration will be held
on the following Monday. Adoration
is also every Saturday, 3:30pm to
5:00pm.

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
.Fr. Michael Saint Paul has asked me to oversee the
parish while he is on sabbatical. During these past
two weeks, we celebrated Independence Day with
the Hispanic Community on September 20 and last
Saturday we celebrated the Moon Festival with the
children from our Vietnamese Community. Thank
you to all those parishioners who helped to
organize these events.
By this time you should have received a letter
regarding Stewardship. May I ask you to read it
and talk among your family members as you fill
out the commitment card? God needs us and also
this parish needs everybody, including me, to
continue the work which was begun over fifty
years ago.

SCHOOL NEWS
Greetings St. Polycarp Family,
St. Polycarp School has had an incredible start to the 2015-2016
school year! We are very proud of our campus, our faculty, our
small classes, and our new blended accelerated program. Did you
know that ten of our twelve faculty members have completed or are
currently completing their Masters degrees in Education, and we
have moved middle school, grades 5-8 to a rotating waterfall
schedule providing single subject teachers for the various
disciplines. If you have not had a chance to see your "New" St.
Polycarp School, please come by for a tour - we have a seat waiting
for your child. It is never too late to enroll; the best time is always
now to give your child the gift of a strong Catholic education five days a week. We are producing the leaders of our future
Catholic Church.
Many improvements have been made over the summer including a
new front office, new paint in the classrooms, and a new telephone
system for every room. We want to thank our parish families who
have so graciously given their time and treasures to make these
upgrades a reality for our families and children. We also want to
extend a thank you to Orange Catholic Foundation who has installed
a new phone system for every classroom and the Shea Foundation
who has rebuilt and painted our lunch pavilion, including an
installation of new sky lights for optimal lighting. We thank all the
generous and loving supporters of St. Polycarp School from the
bottom of our hearts! We are growing because of you.
Sports are back! St. Polycarp School joins the Parochial Athletic
League (PAL) after a four year hiatus. Our girls volleyball team has
just started the season this past week with great enthusiasm, skill,
and strength. All are welcome to come to the games; our schedule is
on our website at www.stpolycarpschool.org. Go Pirates!
And last but not least, St. Polycarp School is the leading school
within the Diocese of Orange for Blended Learning which ensures
every student moves closer to personalized learning; this redesign of
the classroom ensures that the pace, place, and path of learning is
dependent upon what is best suited for each learner. All classrooms
are equipped with 1:1 ipads and Chromebook stations for the cutting
edge of digital textbooks, learning assessments and tools for the 21st
century. These are the children who will be taking care of all of
us one day; therefore, we take our job seriously to produce the
best Christ-filled Catholic leaders for today and tomorrow.

C1 and C2 classes have now begun and will continue
throughout the year! Remember, classes are every
other Sunday from 9:15-10:45 and we attend the
11AM Mass together.
Safe Environment meeting is tomorrow October 5, at
7PM in the Hall! This is a mandatory event for ALL
confirmation students that you are NOT allowed to

FORUM ON POVERTY
Pope Francis has emphasized the need to support those
individuals affected by poverty. To help us understand
this reality in Orange County, an event has been planned
through the Office of Peace and Justice of the Sisters of
St. Joseph of Orange.
A Forum on Poverty will be held on Saturday, October
24, 2015, in the auditorium at St. Joseph Center, 480 S.
Batavia, Orange, Ca. This event will give us an
opportunity to hear how the harsh reality of hunger and
the effects of unaffordable housing impact the working
poor. It will offer practical ways we can make a

There are several restoration projects needed for our
parish. Upgrades in the sacristy, vestibule, church
interior, sanctuary space and parish hall are needed for
safety and beautification. We have included
improvements and upgrades for our school, as well.

councils who assist me with parish operations.

WOMEN'S RETREAT AT THE PRO SANCTITY
RETREAT CENTER, 205 S. Pine Dr. Fullerton, CA

11, at 3:00 pm. The theme of the retreat is "The Heart of a

La comunidad Católica de San Policarpo es bendecida con muchas culturas y ministerios vibrantes que ofrecen un

BAUTISMOS PASOS :
Papás y padrinos, deberan asistír el primer Domingo del mes a las 10:00 am para registrar a su
hijo(a) y al mísmo tiempo para tomar la clase
requerida.
Padres: Traer una copia del certificado de
nacimiento de su hijo(a). No traiga el original.
Padrinos: Traer una copia del acta de matrimonio
de la Iglesia donde se casaron.
 El Segundo Domingo de Cada mes es la
Ceremonia del Bautísmo a las 2:00 pm.
 Habra una segunda platica el Viernes despues
del Bautizo a las 7:00pm.
Costo $50 por niño; $25 si solamente toma la
plática


El Padre Michael me ha dejado encargado de la
parroquia mientras que él está en su sabático.
Durante las últimas dos semanas, el día 20 de
septiembre, hemos celebrado con la comunidad
hispana el día de la independencia de México, y el
sábado pasado, celebramos el Festival de la Luna
con los niños de la comunidad Vietnamita. Les
agradezco a todos los feligreses que nos ayudaron a
organizar estos eventos.
En estos momentos ya debemos de haber recibido
de parte del padre Michael, una carta de discipulado.
Les pido que la lean y mientras están llenando la
“tarjeta de compromiso” consulten o hablen con sus
familiares sobre este compromiso? Dios nos
necesita para que continuemos trabajando juntos por
nuestra parroquia que empezó hace más de 50 años.

CENTAVOS DEL CIELO
El próximo domingo 11 de octubre, será la vigésima
primera Campaña de Centavos Del Cielo de nuestra
Diócesis. Se les pide que donen sus monedas y dólares
para apoyar a los albergues, clínicas y centros de
Respeto a la Vida que proveen cuidado de inmediato y
a largo plazo a mueres, hombres y familias en crisis en
el Condado de Orange. LOS CENTROS BIRTH
CHOICE son otra organización que recibe fondos de
esta campaña. Cuenta con 5 Centros Comunitarios
Médicos en Santa Ana, Mission Viejo, Long Beach,
Orange y una clínica móvil. Ofrecen pruebas de
embarazo, ultrasonidos, pruebas y tratamiento de ETS,
cuidados y exámenes para el cuidado de mujeres,
cuidado prenatal limitado, consejería de la crianza de
niños y educación. Sirve a más de 10,600 clientes
anualmente, los Centros Obria Medical Clinics están
dedicados a cuidar de la mujer completa; emocional,
física y espiritualmente y también abordar la salud

SỨ MẠNG CỦA GIÁO XỨ.
Giáo xứ Thánh Polycarp may mắn có nhiều nền văn hóa và sự sống động của các chương trình mục vụ khác nhau
của các cộng đồng giáo dân, điều này đem đến một làn gió thánh thiện chào đón mọi người, đặc biệt là giới trẻ, là
những người mong muốn có một đời sống đạo sâu xa hơn với Chúa Giêsu Kitô. Như là những môn đệ của Chúa,
chúng ta giúp cho những người nghèo đói, đây là cuộc hành trình đức tin dành cho các anh chị em chúng ta trên
con đường sống đạo mới với niềm hy vọng và lòng can đảm, trong một công việc bác ái an toàn và vui vẻ.
THÔNG BÁO CỘNG ĐOÀN.
1- Đoàn Liên Minh Thánh Tâm và Hội Các Bà Mẹ Công
Giáo sinh hoạt.- Đoàn Liên Minh Thánh Tâm và Hội Các
Bà Mẹ Công Giáo của Cộng đoàn sẽ có buổi sinh hoạt
hằng tháng vào lúc 2giờ30 chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 4 tháng
10 năm 2014 tại phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời quí Đoàn
viên và Hội viên đến tham dự đông đủ.
2- Cộng Đoàn mừng kỷ niệm 24 năm thành lập.- Nhân
kỷ niệm 24 năm thành lập (3 tháng 10 năm 1991 – 3 tháng
10 năm 2015), Cộng đoàn sẽ dâng lễ tạ ơn Thiên Chúa - về
những hồng ân mà Cộng đoàn đã nhận lãnh - vào các
Thánh lễ lúc 7giờ tối Thử Bảy 3 tháng 10 và 4giờ chiều
Chúa Nhật 4 tháng 10 năm 2015. Cũng nhân dịp này, vào
lúc 3giờ30 chiều trước Thánh lễ Chúa Nhật 4 tháng 10
năm 2014, Cộng đoàn có tổ chức cuộc cung nghinh tượng
Đức Mẹ từ đài Đức Mẹ lên Thánh đường. Sau đó có phần
vũ phụng vụ trước Thánh lễ và Sau Thánh lễ, có cắt bánh
mừng kỷ niệm sinh nhật thứ 24 của Cộng đoàn tại sân
Thánh đường. Nhân dịp này, Cộng đoàn cũng sẽ phát động
giáo dân thực hiện Bó Hoa Thiêng cho suốt năm 2016 để
đón chào Lễ Ngân Khánh của Cộng đoàn vào ngày 3 tháng
10 năm 2016. Xin Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa nhiệt liệt hưởng
ứng, tham gia và sắp xếp thời gian tham dự các nghi lễ
phụng vụ tuần này.
3- Cộng đoàn sẽ phổ biến chục kinh Mân Côi liên kết.Cũng như mọi năm, Cộng đoàn đã phổ biến chục kinh
Mân Côi liên kết cầu nguyện cho nền hòa bình thế giới để
giáo dân đọc trong 2 tháng: tháng Mười kính Đức Mẹ Mân
Côi và tháng Mười Một cầu cho các linh hồn. Những chục
kinh Mân Côi này sẽ bắt đầu phổ biến từ ngày 26 tháng 9
năm 2015. Cũng trong 2 tháng Mười và Mười Một, vào
lúc 3giờ chiều, Cộng đoàn có lần chuỗi 50 kinh Mân Côi,
sau phần lần chuổi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót, từ Thứ Hai
đến Thứ Sáu trong tuần. Hai ngày Thứ Bảy, và Chúa Nhật
chỉ có lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Đặc biệt Thứ
Ba ngày 13 tháng 10 năm 2015, có mở cửa Nhà Tạm
Chầu Thánh Thể trong giờ lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa
Thương Xót và chuỗi Mân côi. Xin Cộng đoàn Dân
Chúa xa gần cùng đến tham dự. Cũng xin Cộng đoàn Dân
Chúa phổ biến rộng rãi đến những người xung quanh, để
cùng tham dự giờ lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót và
chuội Mân Côi cầu nguyện cho hòa bình thế giới.
4- Buổi sinh hoạt của Liên Nhóm Cursillo.- Liên Nhóm
Cursillo của Cộng đoàn có bưổi sinh hoạt hằng tháng vào
lúc 2giờ30 chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 11 tháng 10 năm 2015
tại phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời quí anh chị Cursillistas tham dự.
5- Hiệp Sĩ Đoàn Các Thánh Tử Đạo Việt Nam tổ chức
lần Chuỗi Mân Côi.- Để thi hành mệnh lệnh của Đức
Mẹ đã ban hành tại Fatima, Bồ Đào Nha năm 1917, và
cũng để cầu nguyện cho nền hòa bình thế giới; Nhân kỷ
niệm Đức Mẹ Hiện Mẹ hiện ra lần chót tại Fatima ngày
13 tháng 10 năm 1917, Hiệp Sĩ Đoàn Các Thánh Tử Đạo
Việt Nam, Chi Đoàn 14445 sẽ tổ chức giờ lần chuỗi
Mân Côi vào lúc 12giờ trưa Thứ Bảy ngày 10 tháng
10 năm 2015 tại Manzanita Park, thuộc Thành phố
Cypress. Đây là lần thứ 5 Hiệp Sĩ Đoàn Các Thánh Tử
Đạo Việt Nam tổ chức tại địa điển này. Kính mời Cộng
đoàn Dân Chúa nhiệt liệt hưởng ứng và cùng đến tham
dự. Hiệp Sĩ Đoàn Các Thánh Tử Đạo Việt Nam, Chi
Đoàn 14445 rất hân hạnh được đón tiếp quí vị.
6- Thực hiện tập kỷ yếu cho dịp Lễ Ngân Khánh của
Cộng đoàn.- Để chuẩn bị cho dịp mừng Ngân Khánh
ngày thành lập Cộng đoàn vào tháng 10 năm 2016 sắp
tới, Cộng đoàn dụ trù thực hiện một trong hai dự án: thực
hiện một cuốn sách Kỷ Yếu gồm những bài vở và hình
ảnh sinh hoạt trong 25 năm của cộng đoàn; hoặc thực
hiện một cuốn DVD ghi lại những hình ảnh sinh hoạt và
những đoạn băng nói lên sự sinh hoạt của Cộng đoàn
trong 25 năm qua. Ban Thường Vụ kêu gọi các Hội đoàn
– Đoàn thể và toàn thể Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa cùng đóng
góp ý kiến và gởi các tài liệu liên hệ vể Ban Thường Vụ,
để Ban Thường Vụ thực hiện một trong 2 dự án này. Mọi

7- Cộng đoàn lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.- Để
đáp lại Mạc Khải Lòng Chúa Thương Xót, Cộng đoàn tổ
chức lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót vào lúc 3 giờ
chiều mỗi ngày, kể cả Thứ Bảy và Chúa Nhật. Chương
trình được tóm gọn trong 30 phút gồm nghe đọc Phúc
Âm theo năm Phụng Vụ và phần suy niệm về bài Phúc
Âm trước khi lần chuỗi. Ngoài ra, trong giờ lần chuỗi
chiều Thứ Sáu đầu Tháng có mở cửa Nhà Tạm chầu
Thánh Thể và Khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Các ngày
Thứ Sáu trong tháng có khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.
Các ngày trong tuần, bất cứ ai có nhu cầu xin cầu nguyện
khẩn thiết đặc biệt, xin điện thoại về số (714) 539-4954
và để lại lời nhắn. Rất nhiều người xin đã được ơn như ý
hoặc các ơn lành khác. Kính mời Cộng đoàn xa gần cùng
đến tham dự.

xứ trong lúc ngài đi nghỉ. Trong những ngày vừa
qua, giáo xứ chúng ta đã mừng ngày Lễ Độc Lập của
cộng đoàn người Mễ và thứ bảy vừa chúng ta mừng
Tết Trung Thu với các em thiếu nhi của cộng đoàn.

Trong các Thánh Lễ cuối tuần vừa qua chúng ta đã

giáo xứ về đời sống của người quản lý. Anh chị em
cũng đã nhận được thư từ văn phòng giáo xứ. Tôi
mong anh chị em đọc lá thư đó và cùng bàn với nhau
xem anh chị em có thể giúp giáo xứ bao nhiêu qua
việc đóng góp hàng tuần.
Chúng ta hãy cùng nhau nối tiếp công việc bảo tồn
ngôi thánh đường này mà nhưnngx anh chị em cách
đây trên 50 năm đã xây dựng.
