Abiding Savior Church Pentecost 23 Home Of El Centro Hispano de Todos los Santos of Riverland Village Sunday, November 16, 2014 Domingo, 16 de Noviembre, 2014 All are welcome here. YOU are welcome here. Our readings during November speak of the end times. Zephaniah proclaims that the coming day of the Lord will be filled with wrath and distress. Paul says it will come like a thief in the night and urges us to be awake and so‐ ber. Jesus tells the parable of the talents, calling us to use our gifts, while we still have time, for the greater and common good. In a world filled with violence and despair, we gather around signs of hope—word, water, bread and wine—eager to welcome the good news of Christ's coming among us. Nuestra manos. Gathering / Encuentro DECLARATION / DECLARACIONES In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amén. We believe that all people are worthy of respect and honor, because all are created in the image of God, and all can respond to the love of god. In baptism we are committed, with God's help, to seek and serve Christ in all persons, by loving our neighbors as ourselves, respecting the dignity of every human being, and striving for justice and peace among all people. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the church of Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
