From Mr. Stultz:
Columbus North Instrumental Bands had great news today. The
Honor All-State Band and the All-State Band were announced
and Columbus North had the most students selected in the
history for Columbus North High School. 10 students were
selected to the Honor All-State Band, 7 students in the Regular
All-State Band and 2 Students were named as alternates to the
groups for a total of 19 students making the list. This was the
most out of any High School in the State. These students will
perform with the All-State Bands at Purdue University on
March 14th.
To be selected students had to prepare several excerpts outside
the school day. They then went to a State Site and were
recorded. During their audition the students also had to sight read
a piece of music without any preparation. This was part of their
audition. These recordings were listened to by college directors
and they selected the best on each instrument.
Congratulations to these fine musicians!!

Scrip is a fundraising program that works while you shop. Scrip is gift cards from national
and local retailers. They are the same gift cards that you buy from the stores, BUT you get
a percentage of the purchased price applied to your child's band account. This is one of
the easiest fund-raisers, because there is nothing to sell! Try it today!

Booster Meetings:
Advice from Parents who attend Booster Meetings:
It was suggested that perhaps many of you don’t realize, as parents and guardians of our
CN Band students, that you are all Booster members. A Booster Meeting isn’t a meeting
only for the Booster Officers. All agreed that they felt they learned the most about the
program by attending Booster meetings and reading the Newsletter. So give it a try.
You are cordially invited
to attend all Booster Meetings.
They are most often held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month @ 6pm in the band room
(unless a scheduling conflict arises)
The following items are available:
• Blue hoodie sweatshirt $35
• Blue long sleeve t-shirt $25
• Blue short sleeve t-shirt $20
• We also have a very limited amount of show shirts
and last years grey t-shirts, those are $15.
If you have any questions you can email Amy Jackson at
[email protected]
