BAND POPS CONCERT Thank you to all students, parents, administrators & performing arts staff for making the band pops concert a success. A special thanks goes out to director Andy Brinkman and the 20 awesome FCV 8th grade bandsmen who performed with us on the concert finale. 2. SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST PREPARATION Students have been given their packets of information for solo and ensemble and all information is also posted at www.lnband.com. Contest is on Saturday, February 7th at Doe Creek Middle School in New Palestine. 3. ALL-STATE BAND Congratulations to Megan Ellsworth, Nolan Cardenas & Greg Benham for making the All-State honors band and to Elizabeth Massel for making the allstate band. These students were selected from auditions held in 8 locations around the state and will perform at Purdue University in March. 6. BREAKFAST SALES IN THE COMMONS AT LN The shelves are filled now all we need are people to sell. There will always be a veteran seller there to help new people learn the system. This valuable fundraiser supports ALL bands. Please check CERVIS to see if there are days where you can help. Tuesdays are especially in need of help this semester. Contact Gayle Cartwright [email protected] with any questions. 8. STUTZ ART FAIR FUNDRAISER Stutz Art Fair Fundraiser Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. Earn money into your student band account. Last year's volunteers earned $50/day. Spots will be on CERVIS soon. We need two lead people for each day that have worked it before and are people oriented. Please contact Marsha Massel if you are interested at [email protected]. 9. SCRIP – Gift Cards The next Scrip due date is Tuesday February 10th. Boston Market is offering 14% rebate from January 31 thru February 13 with purchase of gift card or ScriptNow. Check the Scrip site at www.shopwithscrip.com for additional special deals. For purchases to be included on this order, payments made by cash or check must be in the drop box in the band room by 2:00 pm and payments made online using PrestoPay must be made by 7:00 pm on Tuesday February 10th.
