Eileen was one of our longstanding members who worshipped with us week by week, including last Sunday. There will be a service of thanksgiving probably later in February and we will advise members as soon as possible. • Ordination Anniversaries Congratulations to our members who have ordination anniversaries this month. Ethel Dickie - 60 years (as deaconess), Robin Smith – 63 years on Feb 6, and George Clark – 62 years on Feb 7. • Orokonui Ecosanctuary – Janet Weir art exhibition Janet Weir will be artist in residence 6-15 February. Janet, artist and owner of South Seas Gallery at Brighton, will display 9 acrylic-on-canvas paintings which will available for sale. You are welcome to visit the Sanctuary and the Cafe at the same time. • You, me & the sea: Let’s talk about ocean global change – Free Public Lecture Professor Gretchen E. Hofmann, University of California in Santa Barbara, will be giving a free public lecture on Monday 9 February at 7pm in Castle Lecture Theatre 1. • A fresh exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins - a series of seven addresses through to March 15 • No men’s group this coming Friday as it is Waitangi weekend • Transformers’ camp – between Friday 13 & Sunday 15 Feb This will be a great weekend of activities, at Tirohanga, with other Presbyterian youth groups with the theme of leadership.
