MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or Senior Certificate Diploma/Degree in General Nursing & Midwifery Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse & Midwifery KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of public service Acts and Regulations. Sound management, negotiation, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Good verbal and communication skills Sound knowledge of nursing management of clients Knowledge of Labour Relations and Disciplinary procedures. Basic financial management skills. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Assist with implementation of vision, mission, and objectives of the clinic. Provide outreach services and form part of the Family Health teams. Provide effective management and professional leadership by ensuring that the clinic is organized to provide quality patient/ client care Render comprehensive PHC service, following policies, guidelines, etc. Evaluate patients care programs from time to time and make proposals for the improvement based on gaps identified. Collect and interpret clinic data and identify indicators for improvement. Ensure optimal and efficient utilization of all resources at the clinic. Maintain client satisfaction with the improved service delivery by upholding the principles of Batho Pele and standards set by the accreditation bodies. Provide a safety and therapeutic environment that allows for the project of safety patient care as lay down by the Nursing act, OHS and all other applicable prescripts. Develop a system/mechanism to update staff with current changes in nursing issues. Assist the implementation of National Core Standards.
