We have various children’s programmes available – for the youth, grades 8 to 12 (Impakt); for grades 3 to 7 (Rocks); and ages 3 to grade 2 (Pebbles) and these commence mid-way through the morning service. The noticeboard at the back of the auditorium and the information desk in the main foyer have more about who we are and what we are about. The yellow slips in the Bibles at the back of the seats are available for any requests for prayer or comments you wish to make. FOSTER CARE INFORMATION SESSIONS 8th FEBRUARY 2015 - Nominations open for Eldership Are you able to provide foster care for a child? Iain Everett & Mike Hogben's positions as elders will become vacant as was decided by the membership at the 2014 AGM. Both have indicated their willingness to offer themselves for reelection. Come along to a Foster Carer Information Session on Wednesday, 11 February 2015, from 6.30 – 8.30pm at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6 Aldersey Street, McLaren Vale Meet a carer and hear what it’s really like to open your home to a child or young person in need. First term of school is almost upon us, and these positions are needing to be filled: a Leader for the Rocks (8-12 yr olds) and helpers for that small group, and more so, helpers for the larger Pebbles (3-7 yr olds) group to assist Jenny Kempson. There is much to pray about, so let us feel the special longing to pray and feel a special enjoyment in it, over and above the command that compels us to cheerful obedience. Prayer is a vital part of our Church life and each Sunday morning before the service we meet for prayer in the room next to the Pastor’s office. 9.30 A.M. TO 9.45 A.M. Praise and thank God for those that faithfully gather here each week to pray too – committed to seeking God in their lives, praying for those who need healing, for those who are going through difficult times, those struggling with health problems, and so much more. With the young people back at school this past week, and all that means to busy mornings for parents, especially mothers – ‘Please God give the Mums sufficient strength for the daily schedules with their families’. Some of our young people have already gone to Uni and Colleges to study in a new environment - and others returned to where they were studying last year – Tim in Melbourne, and Joseph in Sydney – pray for all these students in the varied studies they are undertaking. We thank God for His answers to prayer for Audrey L who is able to study in this state at Flinders. Continue to pray for each of them often. Last Sunday we were reminded about the young people in Indonesia that Agus continues to mentor via mobile – And thank God that each one listens and learns from Agus, and Jakki, and pray that we will continue to be strengthened in their walk with Jesus, and as they share the Gospel message with those around them in the villages. We welcome Heather’s sister – Felicia, from South Africa – and trust that you have a wonderful time with your family here, and with the people that gather in this place to worship and listen to God. Remember to pray for those who are unwell....Hans and Bette J, especially, and also Sue W’s brother.
