Hope Prayer Requests February 4, 2015 Prayer Requests for February 4, 2015 Pastor Glenn Peterson: This week let us pray for: 1) God to raise up more musicians to serve with our worship teams. 2) Many of the students who are invited to the Defacto All-Night event next Friday to attend and respond to the Gospel. Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Pray for Christians in India who are facing increased persecution. AWANA: Please pray that the children would learn to hear the Holy Spirit. Pray that the children would desire to have their own, personal devotions. Pray for the parents of the children to come to the Lord. Sunday School: Please pray Michelle Condon, Marie Packard, and Dave Ridley as they prepare and teach the children this Sunday. Pray that God will guide them through the lesson to help the children grow in their concept of God and His church. Pastor Glenn: Dan Pierce's brother-in-law Eddie Bureau had a skiing accident on Saturday. He had a spiral fracture of his leg, had surgery on Sunday, and will require at least three months to recover. Please pray for a complete recovery for Eddie and for strength for Dan and Maria as they minister to their family. Please pray for comfort for Rodney and Becky Waugh and their family as they grieve the loss of Rodney’s mother. Brian & Ruth Cawley: Please pray for the financial needs of Dan and Stacy Cawley. They spent money out of their own budget to help save the lives of Innocent and Emma; two Cameroonian men who were in an automobile accident. The medical costs were shared between Dan and Stacy, SIL and Cameroon Mission Fellowship. Word of the help provided to these men has spread throughout the community and all of the glory is going to God! However, this expense may delay the completion of Dan and Stacy's home and would mean losing the workers they had lined up for the work. Sheila Stratton: Tony Trask is nearing the end of his earthly life. Please continue to pray for him and his wife as they travel this journey. God bless you all for praying. Thank you for your prayers. Jeanne Hunt: Please pray for my daughter Lisa’s surgery and recovery as she has her leg amputated. Glenn & Jodi Fleury: Glenn’s last day of work is February 27th. He will get a severance package. Pray for God to give Glenn and I direction as to what job he should try to get or if we should move out west. 1 Hope Prayer Requests February 4, 2015 Roland & Marje Frye: It was discovered during Roland’s routine annual physical that he has an irregular heartbeat. Tests have determined he has an atrial fibrillation. He sees a cardiologist on Wednesday, February 4th. Pray for the right course for treatment. This has been a total surprise as he has had no symptoms to alert us. Unknown: Please continue to pray for Emily Davis to have freedom from anxiety and for her to find a new position or job. Pray for Susan Childs who has cancer. Carla Bryant: Please keep our family in your prayers. Pray for healing of my knee and wisdom to know the best course of treatment. Bea Lawson: Please pray for a successful eye surgery for Lenny on Monday, February 9th. Thank you for your prayers. Prayer Requests for January 28, 2015 Pastor Glenn Peterson: This week let us pray for: 1) God to send many new members to our membership class on Saturday morning. 2) God to prepare our missions team to Haiti this summer to bring the presence and love of Jesus to the people they will meet. Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Pray for the rebuilding of a demolished church in Ethiopia. AWANA: Please pray that the children would have hearts open to accepting the Lord or increasing their faith. Pray that the children would not see themselves as outside The Church or a part of The Church of tomorrow, but that they are The Church right now. Pray that they would become mature in their faith. Martin & Lid Barley: We feel that we have done what God called us to do in Ethiopia with our previous ministry. God is calling us to City Ministries in Jos, Nigeria. City Ministries is a holistic ministry of SIM to the poor that preaches the gospel & helps meet their physical, medical & educational needs. It is the ministry option that has always interested us the most and seems to fit best with our skills and experience. SIM Australia supports our decision and the SIM Nigeria team has warmly welcomed us as part of their team. We will do all we can to try to ensure that we can leave by April; we would appreciate your prayers that the many things beyond our control would “fall into place”! 2 Hope Prayer Requests February 4, 2015 Sheila Stratton: We have been praying for our friend Tony Trask. Tony has cancer and many other issues. He is in the hospital in critical condition. He has many blood clots in his legs. Also, his son Ryan has brain cancer. His wife is having a hard time with it all. Please continue to pray for him and his family. This family is in need of our prayers. Thank you so very much. Brian Bubier: Please pray for my former co-worker and his wife, Bruce and Debbie Bell. Bruce had a port put in his shoulder and had first chemo treatment last Friday. He was sent home with a drip treatment for the next 36 hours. He goes back to Dana Farber in two weeks for another treatment. I spoke with him on Friday and he was not sick and doing well. Thank you for praying for him. Denis Fotakis: My nephew Gary has an important exam on Monday morning, February 2nd, in his quest to become a medical doctor. Gary does know and love the Lord.
