Prayer Requests, February 4, 2015
These prayer requests are distributed at our Wednesday evening events, on the following Sunday
morning, and over the internet. We believe strongly in prayer!
Prayer Thoughts
2015 Goals
It's 9:30 in the morning as I write. I began the day
talking with a mom upset about her alcoholic/suicidal
son. Then I talked with a lady who was praying for a
friend's son who is scared. He's into drugs and looking
for help. Then I read an email from a coach looking for
help for a teen with a multitude of issues.
Last night, I talked to a mom whose son was killed when
he was hit (as a pedestrian) by a car. She doesn't know
details, but he was acting in an out-of-character fashion
shortly before the accident.
I talked with several teens in our basketball ministry on
Saturday. I dealt with profanity. Marijuana. Attitude.
Drunkenness. As a referee, I had to assess several
technical fouls for unsportsmanlike behavior. As an
administrator, I had to deal with several players with
issues that were bigger than basketball. As a pastor, I
was informed of marijuana found on our property.
Of course, I know where young men learn. The day
after the Super Bowl, after stories hit. Crudities during
the game. (Fortunately, a cameraman thought it too
crude and panned away.) Players fighting. (There's a
story for the grandkids. "I was ejected from the Super
Bowl!") A well known football hall-of-famer was
picked up for soliciting prostitution and assault. And
numerous stories for a very troublesome issue—teen
prostitution in Super Bowl cities.
We have a teen problem in America because we have a
man problem. So let’s pray for men tonight!

West Point, is going through a very stressful time
right now – mentally, physically & emotionally.
She’s a new Christian. I think this is Satan’s attack.

Tonya Medina – strength to carry on in my walk in
Christ to know that I’m not alone. For Louis
Medina, my husband to change his ways. That one
day we can reconcile our marriage. Chad
Hernandez – soften his heart. Jake Pino – to find
salvation. Selena & Steven Fairchild – to find
salvation. For the world – to have peace and to find
Christ, Sam Trujillo – to continue his walk with
Christ.
Deanne Arkills – Cathy, lung cancer surgery this week.
(niece).
Audra Loper – my friend Cody is really struggling right
now.
Unnamed – Praise! My mom (Michelle) cancer has not
spread! Pray for successful surgery for removal.
Kim Sanchez – strength & prayer for my health,
specifically my fusion back surgery.
Howard Doyle – Mary – reoccurrence of cancer.
Julie Morrison – Crystal and Ally – healthy and
successful pregnancy. Hope and Neil Carden – loss
of Hope’s father. Barb Schlueter – spending last
days with her ailing father. Lots of sickness going
around – praying for healing.
Bonnie Hubbard – up lift everyone in our church.

Unnamed – Mathew Wittkamper salvation and a sound
mind. Carol, Tom, Lily and baby illness (Malice is
one month old).

helping with Brown Bag donations, relief for my
back & hips.
Manuel & Tracy Ayala – prayer for me and my husband
to get a job. And prayer for our family in
