Being the principle effort of LPR, Issues, Etc. is a live, call-in, topical radio show featuring The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod pastors, professors, and laypeople, and other professional church workers that provide catechesis for its listeners. Experts on social issues, government relations, church music and liturgy, church history, and journalism are frequent guests on the show where the audience is invited to respond and interact by phone, email, Twitter, and Facebook. LPR is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Missionaries - Adam V. (Sudan) - Rev. David Erber (Africa) - People of West Africa - Ed and Mary Fox - (Guatemala) - Phil Jaseph - (Africa.) Military Members -MBen F, - MKyle F, - MTrevor F, - Patrick G, -Matthew H, Dakota, - Nathan, -Brent J. LCMS and is clearly committed to the Scriptures, creeds, and confessions. Just as the LWML has the priority of impacting the world for Christ, LPR has the same global mission. Issues, Etc. has a very small staff of three full-time employees. They are responsible for producing 10 hours of live radio programming each week. Each staff member has multiple daily duties and responsibilities, and the maintenance of the development programs and activities has grown creating a need for additional staff. Sunday School Parents, we encourage you to see that your children and young people are in Sunday school every Sunday. This quarter they will be learning New Testament Bible accounts of the life of Christ. Concordia Choir I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. (Psalm 9:2) Choir practice will resume on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm beginning January 28. We will be preparing music for Lent and Easter. New voices are welcome. Radon Testing There was an article in a recent Sunday paper about the danger in Radon Gases. Vince Fertitta is an experienced home inspector and would like to offer his services free to anyone in the congregation who would like to have their home tested. You would need to pay the $45 cost for the kits. Vince will fill out the paperwork and mail it to the EPA to get test results. This past week was Lutheran Schools Week and Sally Hiller of the Southeastern District put out a story about Lutheran schools in the District each day. The first day Monday) featured a beautiful article written by Stephanie Gore who gave an account of how she and her family came into Concordia through the preschool when she enrolled Shayla two years ago. Stephanie now teaches in the preschool and husband Rick teaches Sunday school.
