Embedded System Design Workshop

Introduction
Embedded systems contain processing cores that are typically either microcontrollers or microprocessors.
The key characteristic, however, is being dedicated to handle a particular task. Since the embedded
system is dedicated to specific tasks, design engineers can optimize it to reduce the size and cost of the
product and increase the reliability and performance. Some embedded systems are mass-produced,
benefiting from economies of scale.
Develop measurement systems faster with LabVIEW and the graphical system design approach. Within a
single software environment, LabVIEW provides unparalleled integration with NI or third-party data
acquisition hardware, extensive signal processing libraries, and user interface controls purpose-built for
measurement data visualization. Trust LabVIEW when you need to automate multiple measurements and
make data-driven decisions.
Workshop aims to make students well-equipped with all the modern tools of Embedded System Design.
The Participants get to know the various nuances of the theory as well as experience a hands-on process
of building a Embedded System, thus enabling them to link theory and practice. During this workshop
you will learn to design embedded systems using 8051 micro-controllers. You will make following
different kind of Hands-On Experiments all by themselves:
 Interfacing input devices e.g. keypads, sensors with the micro-controller
 Interfacing output devices e.g. seven segment display, LCD with micro-controller.
 Making autonomous robot using micro-controller.

You will get your hands dirty with all basic electronics components
 You will be introduced with various software tools to make your design work easy.
 Tools we use are up to the industrial standard, which will give your learning an industrial touch
and thus this workshop will be added in your industrial experience.
 Our commitment to participants does not finish with this workshop, you can look back to us to
get any support for your final year project or any other project you do in future.

Quickly Develop Code That Executes on ARM Microcontrollers
With the LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM Microcontrollers, engineers and scientists can program using high-level
graphical design tools. This allows for a quicker transition from development to deployment Prototype using hardware
evaluation platforms based on ARM7 and Cortex-M3. By doing this, you can prototype your solution before moving to
custom ARM-based microcontroller hardware.
Incorporate C Code Generated in LabVIEW in Your Own Custom Hardware Solutions
After completion of your prototype, apply the C code generated by the LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM
Microcontrollers to the hardware design of your choice.
