If you are new to the area, please contact the Parish Office
to make an appointment to register in the parish. Also, please
notify the parish when you move out of the area.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Baptism is celebrated on the Second Sunday of each month
after the 10:30am Mass. Attendance is also required at our
pre-baptismal class which is held on the first Tuesday of each
month at 7:00 PM in the Convent (Ritner St. entrance). Please
call the Parish Office to schedule.
LETTERS OF ELIGIBILITY
Godparents and sponsors must be at least 16 years old, fully initiated as Catholics and be registered members in good
standing with their parish. Please contact the parish office if
you wish to be a godparent.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Engaged couples must contact the parish office to schedule
your wedding with a priest at least six months before the
wedding date. Either the bride or the groom must be a registered member of O.L.M.C. parish. Couples are also required
to attend a Pre-Cana preparation program.
VISITATION TO THE SICK AND HOMEBOUND
If you or a family member are unable to attend church because of sickness or age, please contact the parish office so
that arrangements can be made to bring Holy Communion.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s CCD Program is
comprised of students of our Parish attending Public
and Charter Schools who are enrolled in Grades 1
through 5.
Altar Servers
All Parish children, grades 5 and up can volunteer
to be an Altar server anytime during the year. Please
consider being of service to your Parish in this
meaningful way!

The Chapel of Our Lady is now open. It is located
in our school building. Daily Mass is Monday
through Friday at 8AM. If you would like to visit
the Chapel, it will remain open until Noon for the
next few weeks. More details to follow. Saturday
8AM Mass will be held in the Church.
The 2015 Mass Book and the Sanctuary Light
and Altar Roses for 2015 are now open. Please
contact the Parish Office if you would like to have a
mass celebrated for someone special, living or
deceased, or for a special occasion. This is a
Catholic tradition that needs to continue, as we
believe we are spiritually connected to our brothers
and sisters in Christ. If you need prayers for
yourself or wish to have someone who is deceased
remembered, this is great way to fulfill this desire.
Also, you can have someone remembered or a
special intention prayed for in a special way for one
week long through a Sanctuary Light or Altar Rose
donation.

LOOKING AHEAD TO LENT 2015
Wednesday, February 18th is Ash Wednesday and
the Holy Season of Lent begins for all Catholic
People.
Fast, Abstinence and Acts of Penance for Lent
The Bishops of the United States prescribe, as a
minimal obligation, that all persons who are 14
years of age and older are bound to abstain from
eating meat on Ash Wednesday and on all the
Fridays of Lent, including Good Friday. All persons
18 years of age or older, up to and including their
59th birthday, are bound to fast by limiting
themselves to one full meal on Ash Wednesday and
Good Friday, while the other two meals on those
days are to be light.
