Come and experience the many “flavours” of Quebec.
The history, culture and traditions of “LaBelle Province”

and the Mighty St. Lawrence River. Add in the oldest walled
city in North America and a picturesque region inhabited
by some of the world’s greatest chefs. Flavour this with
dramatic waterfalls, pastoral farmlands and cobble stone
streets. For dessert, travel to the second largest French
speaking city in the world. View spectacular Notre Dame
Basilica at night and enjoy a romantic ride back to your
hotel by horse drawn caliches. This is the perfect ending
to a grand gourmet tour. Bon Voyage!

Greetings to all our Five Star Friends! 2015 is upon us and
we hope your New Year’s resolution is to take part in some
more Five Star events and traveling! We have another fun
year coming up. Our first little day trip is on a Saturday so we
hope that some of the Five Star members that are still in the
workforce can join us that day as we discover what women
really want in Dubuque. This is a great time to invite a friend,
your daughter, or even your granddaughter to join you for
the day. Of course, our regular travelers will enjoy this day as
well! Right around the corner as well is a trip to the Fireside
in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The Fireside does a great job of
welcoming us, puts on a great show and who doesn’t love Elvis!
It will be a great day.
We would also like to take time in this column to introduce
our new Oelwein Five Star director, Andrea Williams. Andrea
is taking over since Barb Darland retired and Andrea is full
of fun and spunk and will be a great addition to our trips.
Andrea has been with the bank for 15 years and is married to
Bill. They have two children, Olivia, 16, and Nolan, 13. She is a
volunteer for Meals on Wheels and has delivered or drove for
them for eight years. She spends her spare time playing taxi
driver for her children’s events and enjoys going to movies,
concerts, plays, a little gardening and of course, family and
friends. WELCOME Andrea! We’re glad to have you.
Be sure and sign up early for our trips so you are not
disappointed. We’re having a Valentine party in February to
kick off this year. In closing, here is another one of my favorite
quotes: Remember we are in another new year—another
chance to get it right! See YOU soon!
B A N K I N G
B I T S
One of the many neat things about my job, other than
working with such a great staff who on occasion like
to have a little fun, is to be able to attend some of the
Five Star functions throughout the year. They seem
to always include good presentations, entertainment
and food that our customers seem to really enjoy. This
is especially true around the holidays when we have
a Christmas meal and entertainment fitting for this
holiday gathering.
This year our Decorah, Postville, Waukon and
Oelwein group had speaker Ron Steele from KWWL
News, following a great stuffed pork chop meal. Even
the staff provided some “interesting” entertainment. In
Dyersville the fabulous meal was followed by a fantastic
musical performance from Darrell Lendt and his group
which seemed to end too soon for our guests. Barefoot
Becky thoroughly entertained our Anamosa, Cascade,
and Monticello Five Star members. If you have not
attended one of these events please come, you will
not be disappointed. If you have already, please bring
friends with you the next time. In closing, I hope you
had a great holiday season and enjoy a rewarding and
prosperous New Year. As always, thank you for banking
with Fidelity Bank & Trust.

Trip Cancellation Policy
If you are signed up for a tour and it is necessary for you to cancel, we will make
every effort to provide either a partial or full refund. However, we cannot guarantee
a full refund. There are many variables such as ticket purchases, meal number
guarantees, etc.
If you must cancel, we recommend that you try to find someone else to take your
place on the scheduled trip to guarantee a full refund.
If a tour is cancelled due to insufficient reservation numbers, you will receive a full
refund. Whenever we use an outside agent to book trips, we must adhere to the written
cancellation policy of that agent.
This is why waiting lists are important. Even when you know a trip is filled, have
your name added to the list. In case of a cancellation, we will call in the order
of sign up.
Due to the distance between the Fidelity Banks in eastern Iowa, it is necessary for
some people to travel to a central location to meet the coach. This inconvenience is
unavoidable at times, and we appreciate your cooperation.

The
Wednesday, May 13, 2015 • $147.00 per person
Join us for the Fireside premiere of this rocking, rollicking musical
comedy featuring the songs of the King of rock and roll – Elvis
Presley. No tight pants, no kissing and no loud music. Those are the
rules in one small Midwestern 1950’s town. But then a stranger comes
to town - a rebellious, guitar-playing, hip swiveling roustabout (who
bears a striking resemblance to the King himself). All at once everything
changes - young love blooms, unspoken dreams begin to come true,
and the once quiet little town is turned upside down in this hilarious,
tuneful, high-stepping, award-winning Broadway romp featuring laughs,
romance, thrilling dances, and a host of your favorite Presley classics
such as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Hound Dog,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Blue Suede
Shoes,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Burning Love” and many, many more! Lunch
consists of the Fireside Signature Salad with Papaya Chutney Dressing,
freshly baked bread, Lean Pork Back Ribs accompanied by Buttermilk
Marinated Baked Chicken Breast served with a baked potato stuffed with
steamed broccoli buds in a Monterey jack cheese sauce and a corn bread
muffin. with triple layer carrot cake topped with house-made rum raisin
ice cream. Reservations needed by April 12th.

SHEER
MADNESS
Please join us August 6, 2015 for some “Shear Madness”! We will
be traveling to the Amanas and will have lunch at the Ronnenburg
Restaurant. After lunch we will attend the 2:00 pm matinee at the Old
Creamery Theatre. Shear Madness is a unique comic — whodunit that
takes place in a hair salon. During the course of the action a murder
is committed and the audience gets to spot the clues, question the
suspects and solve the funniest mystery seen on stage. The outcome
is never the same which is why many audience members return again
and again. After the matinee we will stop at the Kava House where
you can select a treat of your choice. (on your own)
Reservations needed by July 6, 2015.

Preheat even to 350 degrees
Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray (such as Pam
or Crisco)
Melt butter in microwave safe dish. Add onion, mustard, poppy seed,
and Worcestershire sauce and stir well. Place the bottoms of the rolls
in the prepared baking dish. Spoon 1/2 of the onion/butter mixture
over the roll bottoms. Stack the quartered ham and cheese every
other one until used up. Put tops of rolls on top of ham and cheese
layer. Brush/pour the remaining onion/ butter mixture over the bun
tops. Cover the dish with foil. Refrigerate until ready to bake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Remove foil and bake
another five minutes until tops are browned.
I usually double this recipe and prepare ahead
