World Wide Wrap
Friday, January 30, 6:00 pm
Our regular Friday night
Kabbalat Shabbat service this
evening will be enhanced by a
special vocal group who will
add their voices to ours in
joyous and meaningful prayer.
Shabbat Shira is when we read
Shirat Ha Yam, Song of the Sea. The song
includes an account of how Miriam led the
newly free Israelites in dance to celebrate the
successful crossing of the Red Sea. It is fitting
that this Shabbat be dedicated to Jewish music.
Sunday, February 1, 9:00 am, during minyan
Join us to participate in and learn more about the
ritual of tefillin as a way to express our personal
and community values as Jewish adults.
Sponsored by Men’s Club, this
multi-generational program is
for all members. Volunteers
will be available beginning at
8:45 am to assist for those who
might be new to the practice of
tefillin. Breakfast will follow.
As an extension of the day, Hazzan Krausman
will also teach BESTT students about tefillin
and even open one to see what’s inside.
