Gospel - Mark 1: 21-28
After last week’s call of the disciples, our Gospel from
Mark takes us on the road with Jesus in his ministry of
teaching and healing. As we listen to these stories of Jesus
teaching with authority, what authority does Jesus have in
our own lives? How does God amaze us with movements
of grace within us, and how do we respond?

Burning of Palms
Fat Tuesday is the
traditional name for
the day before Ash
Wednesday, the first
day of Lent. It is
more commonly
known as Mardi Gras,
which is simply Fat
Tuesday in French. It
gets its name from the
custom, of marking
the day with feasting
before the fasting
season of Lent
begins.
