Position Overview
Direct Holdings, the exclusive marketer of Time Life music and video products, and
headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, is looking for a Sr. Digital Analyst to join the eCommerce
Digital Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team that is spearheading the
organization’s shift to a customer-centric digital media and marketing business.
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, the Analyst is responsible for partnering with interal
clients, stakeholders and external vendors to collect, analyze, report and advise on website and
marketing data regarding customers, markets, competitors, web behavior and campaign
effectiveness. This newly created position requires a strong background in digital media, web
metrics and online direct-response strategy.
The ideal candidate will have experience planning and managing various research projects, and
be able to work closely with senior management to interpret and present findings in a clear,
concise and actionable way. We are looking for a problem solver that has a natural curiosity
about customer behavior with the initiative and means to track down the appropriate data and
distill it into actionable information.
Responsibilities:






Standardized Reporting: Work with internal stakeholders to determine ongoing
business intelligence strategy to propel the business forward.
Campaign Analysis: Provide ROI analysis and consultancy across business lines, with
predefined key performance indicators.
Test Design and Analysis: Work with Jr. Analyst to implement a solid test design that
will produce statistically sound, actionable results.
Web Analytics: In addition to interpreting standard web reports and insights, the ideal
candidate will also deliver ad-hoc reports to support business objectives, as well as
continually research and present new opportunities and insights across the industry.
Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research and present consultative analysis and
insight for all new products.
Mentor and Train: Work with the Jr. Analyst(s) to ensure the Analyst is meeting
expectations, supporting the team, and growing in their role, as well as to ensure the
Digital Marketing and eCommerce teams as well as the executive team, are always
ahead of the latest trends
Qualifications:








5-7 years of marketing experience required; online marketing experience required
Prior experience measuring and analyzing web business performance across resources
Expert knowledge of Google Analytics and Omniture-like tools required with willingness
to learn additional software systems
Experience with AB testing tools such.
Experience with analyzing paid media, social marketing, email and other digital platform
campaigns and results.
Knowledge of statistics and direct marketing testing principles required.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills


Experience working with internal client groups and presenting to senior management
Bachelor’s degree is required
