Information For Our Guests
We would like to get to know you better. As our guest
we ask that you complete the attendance registration
form and leave it at the end of the pew. For prayer
requests or information on other activities please note
it on this form.
To our guests with small children. We invite you to
utilize our nursery and preschool classes for children
age four and under. If you choose to keep your little
one with you in worship and need to exit, we also
have sky-boxes or “crying rooms” available where
you can watch and listen to the service.
A Jesus-centered community of faith who worship, grow,
serve, and evangelize in the low country, the whole
country and the world.

Reminder, plan to join us for a time of fun and fellowship Saturday, February 14th from 11am to 2pm.
We will be finishing our Lap Pads / therapy items for
Clap Your Hands and sharing in a light lunch.
Please bring your scissors, pins, etc . . . that can be
used in finishing these items.
Our February Shoebox Bake Sale is scheduled for
next Sunday, February15th. As a reminder all proceeds from these sales are used to cover the cost of
shipping our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
A sign-up sheet is available in the worship center.
While all donations of any items are appreciated,
our focus items for the month of February will be
bars of soap, wash clothes and tooth-paste. For
2015 we will be focusing on boys and girls between
the age of 5 and 9.
Thank’s to everyone for all you do to support this
important outreach.
Reminder, we need yarn to finish our winter caps for
the boxes.
Also, we are collecting plastic shoeboxes for our
2015 shipment.

Earlier this year Debbie and I got smart phones and I’ve been
learning each day just how amazing they are. I have started
adding apps. I have ignored the game apps but I did get Facebook. My daughters have been insisting that I get it so I can
see pictures of my grandchildren. I gave in. However, I did
not expect the barrage of requests to friend people. I have gotten requests from people I haven’t seen in years and from people who are friends of people who are friends of my family.
I’ve even gotten requests from some of you. Please note:
don’t be offended if I don’t friend you. I’m only after the pictures. I haven’t even written anything on Facebook. I haven’t
completed a profile. I just look at pictures. So please don’t
take offence if I don’t friend you on Facebook.
On another note, I think I’m getting older. My oldest daughter, Tracy, turns 36 this week and Sheryl turned 33 last month.
My oldest grandchild, Hannah, just became a teenager. Where
did time go?
Let me give you an update on the activities of the missional
conversation group. Bob Whitten has been in contact with the
Youth Development Center in North Charleston and we will
be helping celebrate the birthdays and other special events of
the 20 kids that are there. Bob met with a few people from our
church after worship last Sunday and plans are in the works
for a Valentine’s Day celebration at the YDC. If you’d like to
help, please see Bob.
We’ve gotten a request from my son-in-law, Paul, to host a
mission team from the church which he pastors, First Baptist
Church of Gordon, GA. The team wants to come this summer
and lead Backyard Bible Clubs and do repair/clean up work
on our campus and/or in the community. We will need some
project ideas and some showers. Although they will sleep in
our buildings, they will need to take showers in some of our
homes. My wife, Debbie, will coordinate the Backyard Bible
Clubs but we will need your help as well. We want the children to be able to relate to you long after the mission team
leaves. Please be in prayer about this.
Finally, please continue to pray about the finances of our
church, about our outreach, and about revival. Pray for a
mighty movement of the Spirit this year.
If you are not receiving offering envelopes and would like to,
please let Kathy Hudson know.
Call her at 744-6229 exten. 10, or by e-mail at:
