Call for Student Poster Presentations for the 2015 Alliance Management Institute (AMI) January 4-7th, 2015 - Salt Lake City, Utah POSTER SESSION CRITERIA The 2015 Poster Session at the Alliance Management Institute is designed to allow students to showcase either a best practice from their campus Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association or research conducted in one or more of the Alliance competency areas. Students will share best practices or research with Poster Session judges, students, faculty, and nonprofit professionals as part of the conference program on Monday, January 5th, 2015. The deadline for submitting a poster topic for review is November 21st, 2014. Detailed information regarding poster printing and mounting instructions will be distributed closer to AMI. Attached to this e-mail is a template that can be used for creating the poster. Posters should be arranged in a clear and professional manner, but may follow any design style. Recognition will be awarded in three categories: Best Practices Representing the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association, Undergraduate Research, and Graduate Research. Best Practices Representing the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association The Poster content and presentation must: Represent a single project, activity or event that was organized by a group of Nonprofit Leadership Alliance students; Address a minimum of two (2) Alliance competency areas; Demonstrate how the project contributed to specific student learning outcomes in each competency area presented; Illustrate collaborative efforts with other constituencies/stakeholders; Show overall impact of activity in meeting Student Association goals; Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the project and its outcomes Undergraduate or Graduate Research The Poster content and presentation must: Address a research question or applied research project that is aligned with one or more Alliance Competencies; Incorporate a minimum of five (5) (for undergraduate) or a minimum of ten (10) (for graduate) books and/or peer-reviewed articles; Include at minimum a summary of the literature, methodology used, and key findings and results; Illustrate a deep understanding of research and/or applied research design For Everyone: Must be printed using a 36" by 48" poster and mounted on foam core or cardboard. (Posters may NOT be mounted on the wall.) Prepare a 5 minute oral presentation that demonstrates professionalism in dress, display, and content.
