THE CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS CHOIR IS IN NEED OF MORE SINGERS!!
We have revised our rehearsal schedule in hopes that more children will be able to
participate. Our rehearsals will be held in the Parish Life Center (TBD) from 12:151:15 p.m. (following the 10:30 a.m. Mass) on December 6th, 13th, and 20th, and final
rehearsal in the church on Tuesday, December 22nd, at 6:30 p.m.
The Choir is open for boys and girls from 2nd grade- 6th grade. If you would like your child to
participate, please send an email to Lisa Arriaga at [email protected] , and include your
child’s name and age, parent’s name and contact phone number (cell phone if possible), and the
parent’s email address.

Parish Receptionists

Description of Positions: We are seeking two part-time,
bi-lingual Parish Receptionists. The Parish
Receptionists will perform general receptionist duties,
routine clerical and typing work. The Receptionist is the
first point of contact and must be pleasant and helpful at
all times. The first position (16 hours) will include 9 am
until 1 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The second position (13 hours) will include 5 pm until 10 pm on Thursdays and 9 am until 5 pm on Saturdays.
Some of the important duties include, but are not limited
to: being available in the office during designated work
time; answering the phone in a polite and cheerful
manner; graciously greeting people and direct them to
the appropriate place; providing receptionist
services for the parish office including the recording of
clear and accurate phone messages, the handling of
routine questions about policies, events, etc., and the
greeting of visitors; recording of contributions including
assisting in the maintenance of our Census program;
following the building schedule to ensure rooms are open
when reserved; contributes to team effort by
accomplishing related tasks as needed and assists the
Parish Secretary as needed.
Skills/qualifications needed to be a successful
candidate are: fluent in English and Spanish, both written
and oral; the ability to communicate effectively both
verbally and in writing with staff, employees and public;
knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and
Publisher); the ability to operate standard office
equipment including but not limited to multi-line phone
system, computers, copiers, calculators and facsimile
machines; the ability to follow oral and written
instructions; well-developed people skills in interacting
with all who come into the parish office; a minimum two
years of receptionist experience; the ability to maintain
confidentiality in all matters; the ability to solve practical
problems when dealing with a variety of situations; the
understanding of the Sacraments in the Catholic Church;
and the ability to multi-task and work with interruptions.

Descripción de Posiciónes:
Nosotros estamos buscando a dos
recepcionistas para la parroquia de
medio tiempo que sean bilingües. La
recepcionistas parroquiales realizara
funciones generales junto con el
trabajo rutinario de la oficina y trabajos de mecanografía.
La recepcionistas serán el primer punto de contacto y debe
ser agradable y amable todo el tiempo. La primera
posición será de (16 horas) que incluyen de 9 a.m. hasta la
1 p.m. los lunes, martes, miércoles, y viernes. La segunda
posición será de (13 horas) que incluye de 5 p.m. hasta las
10 p.m. los jueves y de 9 a.m. hasta las 5 p.m. los sábados.

Habilidades y Competencias: Las candidatas ideales
deben saber inglés y el español fluido (oral y escrito), la
habilidad de poder comunicarse oralmente y escrito en
una manera cohesiva con otros empleados y el público,
conocimiento de los programas Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, Access, y Publisher), conocimiento de equipos de
oficina básicos, teléfono de multi-línea, computadora, maquina copiadora, calculadoras y máquina de fax; debe de
saber cómo seguir instrucciones oralmente y por escrito,
saber cómo comunicarse con personas que vienen a la
oficina parroquial. Los requisitos para las posiciones serán:
2 años de experiencia como recepcionista, la habilidad de
mantener la discreción y capacidad de mantener la
confidencialidad en todo los asuntos parroquiales, deber
saber cómo resolver problemas prácticos y cómo manejar
diferentes situaciones complicadas. También debe de
tener un conocimiento sobre los sacramentos de la iglesia
católica y últimamente tener la capacidad para realizar
varias tareas sin interrupciones.
