Dear Queen of Peace brothers and sisters:
I would like to take this wonderful opportunity to share
with your my deepest and warmest Christmas greetings! I
am so blessed to be able to share with all of you the beauty,
joy, hope and glory of our Savior's Birth!
Our human history, our future, our families, jobs and
relationships have been blessed and divinized forever in
Bethlehem. The small Child in the Stable is the hope of all
men and women, in every place and time. Now and forever,
God is one of us! He speaks our language. He shares our
destiny. He understands our struggles. We are part of God.
In Bethlehem, we are shown the Way that leads to the fullness of our humanity: God, the Omnipotent, the everlasting, the Eternal has been born in
the weakness and poverty of our human flesh. The humility of the God of the manger is the
Light that dispels the darkness of human selfishness, arrogance, violence, and prejudice,
and opens the way to unity and reconciliation.
The Creator has become a creature. Now, human history is divine history. God is with us!
We have everlasting hope! God exists and He is here! Not as an infinitely distain power that
can at best terrify us; not as a nice belief or idea; not as a law that goes after us if we don’t
fulfill it. Rather, the God of Jesus Christ is the One who gives totally of his being, his divinity,
to us in the wonderful exchange of the Incarnation.
Dear friends: This is the time to spend time and pray with our family and friends, to teach
the Catholic faith to our children, to celebrate the gift of Jesus Christ in our human history,
and to praise God for our divine dignity!
The true meaning of Christmas is found in the Eucharist. God has become the Bread of Life
come down from heaven in total humility for the salvation of the world. He has assumed our
humanity in order to make us sharers of his divine life. He has become human to feed our
interior hunger and give up his life for us.
Merry Christmas Season to you and to all your loved ones! Sadness has no place on the
birthday of Life.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas de Reina de la Paz:
Me gustaría aprovechar esta maravillosa oportunidad de
compartir con ustedes mis más profundos y cálidos saludos
de Navidad! Soy muy bendecido de poder compartir con
todos ustedes la belleza, la alegría, la esperanza y la gloria
del Nacimiento de nuestro Salvador!
Nuestra historia de la humanidad, nuestro futuro, nuestras
familias, trabajos y relaciones han sido bendecidas y divinizadas por siempre en Belén. El pequeño Niño en el Establo es la esperanza de todos los
hombres y mujeres, en todo lugar y tiempo. Ahora y para siempre, Dios es uno de nosotros!
Él habla nuestro idioma. Él comparte nuestro destino. Él entiende nuestras luchas. Somos
parte de Dios.
En Belén, se nos muestra el camino que conduce a la plenitud de nuestra humanidad: Dios,
el Omnipotente, el eterno, el Eterno ha nacido en la debilidad y la pobreza de nuestra carne
humana. La humildad del Dios del pesebre es la luz que disipa la obscuridad del egoísmo
humano, la arrogancia, la violencia y los prejuicios, y abre el camino hacia la unidad y la
reconciliación.
El Creador se ha convertido en una criatura. Ahora, la historia humana es la historia divina.
¡Dios esta con nosotros! Tenemos esperanza eterna! Dios existe y Él está aquí! No como un
poder desdén infinito que a lo mejor nos puede aterrorizar; no como una buena creencia o
idea; no como una ley que va detrás de nosotros si no cumplimos con ella. Más bien, el Dios
de Jesucristo es el Único que da el total de su ser, su divinidad, a nosotros en el maravilloso
intercambio de la Encarnación.
Queridos amigos: Este es el momento de pasar tiempo y orar con nuestras familias y amigos,
para enseñarles la fe Católica a nuestros hijos, para celebrar el regalo de Jesucristo en nuestra
historia de la humanidad, y para alabar a Dios por nuestra dignidad divina!
El verdadero significado de la Navidad se encuentra en la Eucaristía. Dios se ha convertido
en el pan de vida bajado del cielo en la humildad total para la salvación del mundo. Él ha
asumido nuestra humanidad para hacernos partícipes de su vida divina. Se ha convertido
en humano para alimentar nuestra hambre interior y dar su vida por nosotros.
Feliz Temporada de Navidad para ustedes y para todos sus seres queridos! La tristeza no
tiene cabida en el día del nacimiento de la Vida.

Feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth
Words of Pope Francis at the Angelus on December 28, 2014
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Good morning,
On this first Sunday after Christmas, while we are still immersed in the joyous
climate of celebration, the Church calls us to contemplate the Holy Family of
Nazareth. The Gospel today presents Our Lady and St Joseph at the time when, 40
days after Jesus’ birth, they go to the temple in Jerusalem. They do so in religious
obedience to the Law of Moses, which requires that the first born son be presented
to the Lord (cf. Lk 2:22-24).
The message that comes from the Holy Family is first of all a message of faith. In
the family life of Mary and Joseph, God is truly at the center, and He is so in the Person of Jesus. This is why
the Family of Nazareth is holy. Why? Because it is centered on Jesus. When parents and children together
breathe in this climate of faith, they have an energy that allows them to face even difficult trials, as the
experience of the Holy Family shows, for example, in the dramatic event of their flight to Egypt: a difficult
ordeal.
Let us entrust to Mary, Queen and mother of the family, all the families of the world that they may live in
faith, in accord, in reciprocal aid, and for this I invoke upon them the maternal protection of the One who
was the mother and daughter of her Son.

Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia de Nazaret
Palabras del Papa Francisco en el Ángelus del 28 de diciembre 2014
Queridos hermanos y hermanas, ¡buenos días!
En este primer domingo despues de Navidad, mientras estamos aun inmersos en el
clima gozoso de la fiesta, la Iglesia nos invita a contemplar a la Sagrada Familia de
Nazaret. El Evangelio de hoy nos presenta a la Virgen y a san Jose en el momento en
que, cuarenta días despues del nacimiento de Jesus, van al templo de Jerusalen. Lo
hacen en religiosa obediencia a la Ley de Moises, que prescribe ofrecer el primogenito
al Senor (cf. Lc2, 22-24).
El mensaje que proviene de la Sagrada Familia es ante todo un mensaje de fe. En la
vida familiar de María y Jose Dios esta verdaderamente en el centro, y lo esta en la
Persona de Jesus. Por eso la Familia de Nazaret es santa. ¿Por que? Porque esta centrada en Jesus. Cuando padres e hijos respiran juntos este clima de fe, poseen una energía que les permite
afrontar pruebas incluso difíciles, como muestra la experiencia de la Sagrada Familia, por ejemplo, en el hecho dramatico de la huida a Egipto: una dura prueba.
Encomendamos a María, Reina y madre de la familia, a todas las familias del mundo, a fin de que puedan
vivir en la fe, en la concordia, en la ayuda mutua, y por esto invoco sobre ellas la maternal proteccion de
quien fue madre e hija de su Hijo.
