ENGLISH BIBLE STUDY
A weekly Bible Study in English continues on
Wednesday, October 29th at 8:40 am (after the 8:00 am
Mass) in the Parish Center (rectory basement). No fee,
no firm commitment - come when you can. Msgr.
Ferrari welcomes all who wish to learn more about the
“Greatest Book Ever Written.”
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
Thank you for your generous response to the Society
for the Propagation of the Faith on World Mission
Sunday. Our parish raised $529.00 - generous help that
will reach the Church in Mongolia and local churches
throughout the Missions, where the poor receive practical help and the experience of God’s love and mercy,

WELCOME, FR. JAMES RODIGUEZ
Today Sunday, October 26th, we welcome Father
James Rodriguez, Vocation Director of the Brooklyn
Diocese, to preach at all three Masses. Father Rodriguez is a native of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Jackson
Heights, Queens, and was baptized more than 30 years
ago by our very own pastor, Msgr. Ferrari! Fr. James
will share with us the importance of praying for, and
encouraging, vocations.
OCTOBER VOCATION MONTH IN
ST. TERESA’S
During the Month of October, we join our Diocese in
its effort to foster vocations to the priesthood and the
consecrated life. The Angelus is prayed before our
daily masses here in St. Teresa’s for the whole month.
If you cannot make it to Church for the week-day 8 am
mass, we ask that you join us in prayer wherever you
are.
ALL SOULS
We will celebrate a Novena (9) Masses for all our faithful departed loved ones, beginning Sunday, November
2nd, “All Souls Day.” Special “All Souls Day”
envelopes are available in church.
WE LOVE OUR PRIESTS
Today, Sunday, October 26th “World Priest Day”
(WPD) is a celebration and affirmation of the men who
commit their lives to the Lord and the Church via the
Sacrament of Holy Orders. It is an opportunity for
Catholic parishioners to thank, affirm and share their
love and support for our priests.
Priests have been and are a significant part of our lives.
They have ministered to us, preached to us, counseled
us, and they continue to journey with us. Let us share
our lives, our appreciation and love. Encourage the
young men in your family and our church to listen for
God’s call to be open to become great priests.
WORLD PRIEST DAY PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to ask your blessing on
our brothers, whom you have called to the Sacrament
of Holy Orders.
Lord Jesus, we ask that you support them with your
Presence and fill them with grace to serve you faithfully.
Gracious Spirit, unite us in service with those whom
you have called. Open our hearts to encourage our
brothers and sons to pursue your calling, And open
their hearts to hear your call to this most Holy
Sacrament.

Hoy domingo 26 de octubre, damos la bienvenida a
padre James Rodríguez, Director de vocaciones de la
diócesis de Brooklyn, para predicar en todas las tres
misas. Padre Rodríguez es originalmente de la parroquia Santísimo Sacramento, Jackson Heights, Queens y
fue bautizado hace más de 30 años por nuestro propio

La Sociedad de San Vicente de Paul de Santa Teresa,
auspicia la recolección de alimentos enlatados para la
dispensa y ayudar a los mas necesitados de nuestra parroquia. Por favor traiga cada ultimo fin de semana de
cada mes cualquiera de los siguientes alimentos: cereales, arroz, aceite, pastas, azúcar, salsa de tomate, jugos,
frijoles, atún, sopa, vegetales enlatados y mantequilla

DIA MUNDIAL DEL SACERDOTE
Hoy, Domingo, 26 octubre, “El Día Mundial del Sacerdote” (DMS) es una celebración y una afirmación para los
hombres que han comprometido sus vidas a Dios y a la
Iglesia a través del Sacramento de las Órdenes Sacerdotales. Es una oportunidad para que los parroquianos católicos les den gracias, afirmen y compartan su amor y apoyo
para nuestros sacerdotes.
Los sacerdotes han sido y seguirán siendo una parte muy
significante en nuestras vidas. Nos han dado sus servicios, nos han predicado, nos han aconsejado y consolado,
y aun continúan con nosotros en nuestra jornada. Compartimos nuestras vidas, nuestra apreciación, y nuestro
amor. Animen a los hombres jóvenes en su familia, en
nuestra Iglesia a escuchar el llamado de Dios para llegar a
ser sacerdotes magníficos.

FOOD DRIVE
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul here in St.
Teresa church is sponsoring a Food Drive to fill our
Food Pantry and help those in need from our parish.
On the last Sunday of each month, please bring to the
church any of the following items: cereal, rice, oil,
pastas, sugar, tomato sauce, juices, beans, tuna, soup,
canned vegetables and peanut butter. Today Sunday,
October 26th.

An extra hour sleep is most welcome, as daylight
savings time ends.

letters attesting to character, sponsor/
godparent certificates, and other documents
that may have legal or religious purposes, it
is required that persons requesting these
documents be registered, and be active participating members of St. Teresa’s Parish.
We cannot give any of these documents to
persons not registered in the Parish.
