I am very proud of the parish in doing this!! In recent years, we have been under goal by many thousands of dollars. This year, you truly responded and I want to thank you. Being a missionary means reaching out, as followers of Christ, beyond our own personal needs and wants. Thank you for helping the ministry of the archdiocese to continue on. As many of you know, we began the ministry of small church communities about five years ago. At present we have 14 groups active and meeting twice a month to discuss the Sunday Scriptures and to offer support and prayer for each other. Now we are starting a group to focus specifically on young adults, single or married. If you are 18-30 years of age and you want to engage with others your age in developing your relationship with God, please consider joining this new small group. You can e-mail me ([email protected]), or follow the directions that will be in the bulletin next week. Lent is only 2 weeks away and you might want to begin thinking about how you will honor this season this year. Denial of items is always a worthy Lenten action, but it is always important to do something positive also. This year, we are offering a class on Sunday mornings, from 11:00 to 11:45 to learn the English and Spanish responses at Mass. I am inviting people from both communities to move toward each other in this simple gesture so that we can worship God more completely. The classes will begin the first Sunday of Lent (February 22nd) and continue for five weeks. God’s Blessings and Love, Rocio Padilla and Ruben Bocio (1) Please note: *Until the closing of the month, all actuals are not final numbers. Fluctuations occur due to check returns, deposit corrections and online payments. After month end, all online payments are finalized.
