Encuentro (Encounter with Christ) Retreat – will take place at St. Mary
Parish March 19-22, 2015. This is during the week of Spring break. The
retreat is open to youth who are at least 14 years of age. Interested youth
should come to Arco Iris Youth group sessions on Fridays at 7pm in the
Parish Center to get more information.

that adorers are needed are on Friday’s and Saturday’s at 7:00 a.m. and at

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time- I know who you are! When Jesus
walked the earth he was identified several times by unclean spirits
dwelling amidst the Jews. The Lord frequently silenced the spirits and
commanded them to depart. Our journey in this world is made up of
encounters with members of the family of God. Can we recognize
Jesus in the world and proclaim to the people around us "I know who
He is" and help them come to know Him too? The wicked spirits cried
out their witness out of rage and angst. We, on the other hand,
proclaim him “Lord” out of love – and we want to share the Beloved
with others. May goodness lead us to the service of others. May we
grow in faith through our service.
Mass of Anointing of the Sick – is Monday, Feb. 16, 7:00 a.m. We
will celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick in mass. Please
call our office 620-275-4204 to sign up if you wish to receive the
sacrament.
Persons who receive need be: Catholic, at least 7 years of age, and
beginning to be within danger of death. Persons who are 69 years of
age and older may also receive the sacrament due to old age – in this
case (outside of danger of death) the person receiving should be in a
Catholic marriage or be in the single state of life. Father Charles.
St. Catherine Hospital- is in need of adult volunteers. You will enjoy
being a part of an organization that is making a difference. We have 23 hour shifts available once a week and we offer volunteers many
benefits for giving of their time. Please contact the Volunteer
Department at 620-272-2522.
Volunteer- there are 2 parish families, with children in the RCIA class,
which live at 4101 E. Hwy 50, and have no transportation to 11 a.m.
Mass. You could take 3, 4, or 5 persons to that mass once a month
please call Sister Janice at 620-521-1387. Thank you!
Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule- will be held Wednesday, February
18, 2015. The masses are as follows:
8:15 a.m. (Children Mass/English)
11:00 a.m. (Spanish)
5:30 p.m. (English)
7:00 p.m. (Spanish)
The children that attend PSR class this evening will receive Ashes
during class.
Promoting and Praying for Vocations- God chooses ordinary
people to speak his message. Can you perceive the voice of God in
those around you? If you hear God’s voice, harden not your heart.

Consecrated Life- All are invited to celebrate World Day for
Consecrated Life on Saturday, February 14th at St. Andrew Church,
11798 Jewell Rd., Wright, KS. Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by
a special dinner. This celebration is for the entire Church to show
appreciation and support to the religious sisters and priests serving in
our diocese and for consecrated persons to renew their commitment.

El Cuarto Domingo de Tiempo Ordinario - ¡Ya sé quién eres!
Cuando Jesús caminaba por la tierra, varias veces los espíritus
malignos, al estar entre el pueblo, le identificaron. A menudo el Señor
les mandaba a callarse y salir. En este mundo nuestra jornada está
compuesta de varios encuentros con miembros de la familia de Dios.
¿Podemos reconocer a Jesús en este mundo y proclamarle, “Ya sé
quién es El?” Los espíritus insidiosos gritaban su testimonia por su
furia y angustia. Nosotros, en cambio, le proclamamos “Señor” por
amor – y queremos compartir lo a Él, amando a otros. Que la bondad
nos guía a servir a otros. Que crezcamos en fe por nuestro servicio.
Misa de Unción de los Enfermos – Lunes, Feb. 16, 7:00 am. Se
celebrará el Sacramento de Unción de Los Enfermos en misa. Favor de
avisar nuestra oficina 620-275-4204 para apuntarse si usted quiere recibir
el sacramento. Misa en inglés – unción será en inglés y español.
Los que la reciben necesitan: ser Católico, cumplir por lo menos 7 años, y
por lo cual estar en el peligro de morir. Personas de 69 años y mayores
pueden recibirla debido a su edad avanzada – en este caso (fuera de
peligro de morir) la persona debe ser casado por la Iglesia Católica o ser

Hospital St. Catherine- está en necesidad de voluntarios, particularmente
adultos. Formando parte de esta organización usted disfrutara haciendo
una gran diferencia con su ayuda. St. Catherine Hospital ofrece turnos de
2 a 3 horas por semana y ofrece muchos beneficios por donar su tiempo.

Vida Consagrada- todos están invitados a festejar el Día Mundial Para
Vida Consagrada el Sábado, 14 de febrero en la iglesia St. Andrews en
